I find it interesting that all of the countries they mention as "good" examples are horribly poor, have terrible human rights issues or high crime rates.
But hey at least they recycle. They can save the earth for us to enjoy.
Finally, a GOOD video from GOOD, that's not about some goofy Idea some Comedian I've never heard of just pulled out of their ass just to say "HAI GUISE, LOOOK, I MAKE A FUNNY, HAR HAR HAR, but it not that funny, It some stupid idea that change world if magic real" Please GOOD, stop doing that, every time I see one my mouse contemplatively hovers over the "Unsubscribe" button, This is a step in the right direction GOOD, Don't let me down ;D
I'm trying to figure out how cell phone technology improves biking in South America. That's the one thing about biking that is great, it is simple and very reliable, I don't see how making it more expensive with cell phone service somehow integrated helps, same thing with the 'bus flow' bit. The graphic looks like how everyone already has done it for years. Some things require some explanation to make sense. Thanks.
It probably like in Montreal, the bikes are public but you have a system that monitors where the bikes are (for distribution purpouses, and to fight theft) and how long they are in use (for $) all communicating with cell phone tech.
You have to pay some lanes with text messaging or activate certain ways with text messaging, here in argentina we have an organized satellite bus system and parking lot activation system thanks to this technology. + prices for these things go down fast cus of smart new ways of saving and/or using space the governments are working on and designing in several latin american cities. you can see this in the bluprints of cities like Ciudad de La Plata in Buenos Aires Argentina or Curitiba in Brazil.
very interesting.

"since 2007 most of the world live in cities" ? wtf
The world live in cities before his great grand parent were born.
Inspiring sustainable design counts, but please, skip the bs.

I don't ride my bike anymore because cars don't share the road. Biking is dangerous without seperate lanes
