Watching this video makes me really sad and close to tears. My sister died of a brain aneurysm just like Laura Branigan did. She died at 28 in 2002.  Hearing someone sing this song, forever young, that died young makes it so tragic. Unfortunately, the only way to be forever young is to die young, and the sadness you leave behind is immeasureable.

@buckygatto Actually the songs, Shattered Glass, Spanish Eddie, The Lucky One and How am I supposed to live without you, were all written for Laura and thats just a few songs. Most of the songs Laura did were covers but that is in part of her producer Jack White. If it wasn't for Jack White bringing those songs to her, the United States would never have heard of Gloria, Solitaire and Self Control. I want to Thank Jack White for doing so and for Laura Branigan to sing those wonderful songs.

For some reason I have never heard Solitaire on the radio and her cover of Forever Young, I didn't know existed until today. She had a very similar voice to Celine Dion, but with the looks.

Self Control was first sang by one of the writers. His full name is Raffaele Riefoli. But as an artist he goes by just Raf. Both versions of the song were released in the summer of 1984. But as you know Branigan's version went to become a mega-hit throughout the world, where Raf's version was popular in a few selected countries.
