I heard that song for years, in fact I owned the R&B album it was on and even danced to it in bars, but never listened to it until a few years ago. I was so surprised when I actually listened to the words and realized Al was singing about his love for Jesus. It is a beautiful song.
I love the song Belle, Al is a remarkable vocalist with many sounds! Someone made a remark about him as a (1) man band! So true he does'nt need no help from any one he can sing it all by himself. LOL

I grew up listening to brother Al. I love his music. And I also came to except Jesus into my life and life is much sweeter. I still have bad days, but I have a place where I can take my problems to.
@bryan4cicely bryan I remember back a few years ago when I lost my job with severe heart failure, and had to go home and tell my beloved wife of 17 years who was confined to bed with only DAYS to live from lung cancer ( I was 41 and she was 46) that I was jobless with a new house mortgage, very sick and my whole world was comming to an end. My faith in Jesus Christ ( who is much more reall to me now) has brought me back to better health, working again. Everything I lost,He is giving me better

I love AL's intensity on this! One thing you notice about Mr Green is that he is true singer! He challenges himself all the time!
If you listen to different performances of the same song, it's always interpreted differently! He always adds little nuances, and it's always good! That's a real artist!
