  • While Mr.Jay-J is telling the truth about amalgamating the New York & Chicago deep house sounds, he is leaving out the Jamaican Dub, and Latin Samba sounds that influenced the San Francisco sound that Naked Music, and other labels (Red Melon, and Siesta to name some ), oh well the interview was all good, and to get a Grammy nod for his stuff means Jay J is doing something right.

  • he is so cool. ddnt know he was from San Francisco. It'd be nice for me to go c him perform.

i'll look him up and c... he cute too lolz

  • jay j is awesome

    BAY AREAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa

  • Like it, but want more. So we know were you came from and heard about a success. Where are you going? What is your stance on production vs. performing? You currently use vocals in your set, will there be more live additions such as the sax or guitar? Q&A from your new studio would be a nice addition. Might you connect more with a little less shade and more eye?

  • Thanks. In fact, that is just an excerpt from the entire interview. Feel free to check out www.shfitedmusic.com in both the News and Production Tips section for "more". If you are in a city where Jay-J is performing, hit me up and I will guest list you.

  • Hey JayJ, you know Ricardo Torres right? Hey big ups to your label and to what you guys have done for the music.

    *Thanks* :]

  • This is a great video interview with Jayj @ KCRW.
