the director explores each charater's life, it's just amazing, you see the drama in each one's life, and the music, oh my God, great. This movies has so many things to talk about, one of the scene where I really see the drama is when Pacino is talking to his wife in a restaurant and the place is all black the table cloths, the outfits, the meaning was clear. They were going through a very hard time. This movie is epic man.

Yet both represent two distinct extremes. The romance element (or sacrifice of) serves to define the epitome of their similarities.

Either way, the film is a masterpiece.

@kneckebenkross I know because I lived in LA for years. It's a city that's full of life and all about apperances and people chasing their dreams for fame and success. However, it could also be very harsh and lonley. I left LA for quite a time when I felt that the city is so depressing just like Deniro in the movie. But after I left I felt that a big part of my heart was still in LA and went back to collect it. Every time I was away and watched Heat I missed LA so much.
