evanescence=purer voice that isnt processed/trashy sounding, but korns version isn't all that bad, but truthfuly the only time i like korns songs are when they are stripped down. and there's a difference. First, Evanescence version is LIVE and KoRn version is a STUDIO version. It's not the same thing at all. I love both bands and I love the original and Evanescence's BUT Korn's has much more feeling. I'm not convinced Amy connects with it like Jonathon. I think the original has much more emotion but I think the music on Evanescence is much more filled in (not as many gaps if you like). I think it would be amazing if Korn used the instrumental from Evanescence's cover but Jonathon sang it. I have to say Korn's is better!

It's a tie for me. Korn's vocals have more emotion (generally more disturbing-sounding...), and their guitars are more catchy and rhythmic. Whereas Evanescence's vocals are better quality and more of a pleasure to listen to, and the piano makes up for the guitars. As for the video, I like the clips used, but I think the songs could've been blended into each other or something, so the transitions between the two songs didn't seem as sudden. Sorry YouTube for posting a worthless opinion comment.

Ok I have listened to both versions of this song. All the people that said Evanescence sung this song better than Korn needs to get their ears checked. 1st off Korn wrote the song so how are you suppose to sing it better than the Band that wrote it Dreama's. 2nd This song requires alot of anger and power in it which Ms. Lee just can't express it better than JD. She just made it sound more girlish to me. Other than this song that she covered, yes both bands are great.

This was never really a "competition". It was just a compilation if the two songs, just comparing them. Evanescence did an amazing cover of this, and like someone said before me, the original is always the best, and the same would be true if KoRn did a cover of Evanescene's songs. They're both VERY VERY talented groups and I love them very much :)
