Shawn Thornton is by far one of the top scrappers in the league, no question about it. He never turns a scrap down and he hardly ever gets beat, anybody who says different is absolutely ignorant.

Orr is a legit heavyweight, definetely one of the top 5 fighters in the NHL. I'd say he's up there with Boogard, Konopka, Koci, and Shelley. Maybe even Janssen if we're being generous..

@hitmankanadiz13 there's lots of brawls in soccer. it's one of the cheapest sports out there. between the diving and the cheap shots, i'd say soccer has some of the most classless athletes in all sports. example: the world cup when italy won.... i don't think i can recall a time that an nhl player headbutted an opponent, can you? even though that italian exaggerated how hard he was hit, it was a head butt in the end.

@8BALT yes, u are right 6-4 220 is heavyweight class but what I meant was in terms of a "heavyweight fighter". like would you consider 6-8 Tyler Mayers or 6-7 Hal Gill heavyweight fighters? WHen I posted that comment Orr and Lucic didn't fight yet and so there was no proof Lucic couldnt fight with the big boys. There is no question now, Orr kicked Lucic's ass, broke his nose and made him quit. Lucic even pussied out in the end and was rescued by the linesman.

Like it or not, this fight was a draw. and sorry to be the one to break it to you, but thornton is not a heavyweight. He's 6'1", 215. Orr- 6'4", 230. "The best heavyweight in the league" (laugh) should have annihilated a middleweight, which he obviously didn't do.

I don't know about that.... ....there is no question they are all tough guys but as for fighting....Orr is a heavyweight.. one of the best in the league at what he does... Lucic hasn't fought a SINGLE heavyweight fighter......and Chara..he does have the height and reach advantage but Orr can hold his own against him... no question...
