  • Tied the game, sorry

  • The Worst Call that I've seen In Person.... That gives the Caps the lead early in the third to set the tone for the period, and gets them into round 2

  • He barely touched him.

  • Jaroslav "I dive a lot to save my team in the playoffs" Halak

  • WHAT THE FUN TIMES! lmao

  • @W1Z412KHAL1FA

Not at all. It is in the rulebook that he does not have to make contact with Halak for it to be goalie interference.

  • Everyone stop being so pissy. Goal or no goal, it's history. Get the fuck over it. It's not like the caps got much further last year either. Ovechkin is a tool, Crosby's a whiney bitch. No point arguing with me, everything I have said is fact. If you don't like it, be an NHL ref so everyone can hate you, too.

  • Should've been a goal. Knuble barely touch Halak and wasn't in the crease. All that happens is Knuble's skate lightly touches Halak's pad. Good goal.

  • good call boudrea never agrees with any call.

  • Barely any contact, not too mention that Hall Gill backed into him and knocked him into Halak. I mean... why else would he be backing away from a shooter instead of somehow attempting to block the shot? Not to mention that, even though he had his back to Halak, he's the first one to try to buy the call from the ref.

  • I don't want to argue about the specific logistics of the goal (which to me as a subjective caps fan, looks a hell of a lot like a clean goal), but I will say this. It's the fucking playoffs. Calls like this can make or break a game, and referees are supposed to swallow their whistles so this kind of controversy doesn't arrise and the players can just play. Whether or not you think it was a goal, you can't argue that that was a great screen by Knuble and Halak had absolutely no chance there.

  • Please, he BARELY GRAZES HIM, that call is almost never made for that little contact. If Knuble clears out Halak, sure...if Knuble is knocked into Halak...sure. He BARELY grazes his pad and Halak flops. Good job whining by Jacques Martin. Habs played the Caps well, for sure, but that was absolute robbery. Ovechkin tying the game in the first minute of the 3rd period would have changed everything.

  • @reign1701a

Not in the grand scheme of things. One goal doesn't change much. Even if the Caps won, they did not have the drive to make it to the finals. It wasn't going to happen.

  • WTFT

  • caps fans stfu and open your eyes, Knuble interefered with Halak in the crease. Thats just not allowed. All the crying in the world won't change the fact that the Habs rightfully won the game.....and series.

  • @raran44 Just take solace in the FACT that hardly anyone agrees with you. That was a bullshit call. The point is that that call would have been made maybe one times out of ten.

  • @mick03112 Just take solace in the FACT that Knuble interfered with Halak. Don't be pissy that your little ovie didn't score a goal. It's history now. I don't care what you think so quit wasting my time and quit worrying about youtube comments.

  • I think that is a good call. You can't contact the goalie in the crease when he's trying to make the save. Knuble should have been aware of where he was on the ice. He should not have been in the crease.

  • It's a good goal...but it reminds me of the disallowed goal that just happened in the WC...good goal.

  • wow if that goal had been allowed it would have been 1-1 and... whatever, this year bring the cup home Caps =/

  • Ovechkin scored where Halaks leg was.

  • lol what a bullshit call. habs got lucky to make it past the first round, there playoff run shouldve ended that night.

  • this goal was good

  • that was a good call

  • @morpheel0527 agreed knubles airwave knocked halak in

  • wow. shoulda been a goal. I seen luongo getting bufflins ass grinded on him all seris and they didnt call shit. and then knuble barely fucking touches halak, and its no goal.

  • 0:22 What The &%#$

  • Comment removed

  • Capitals always get screwed over..horrible call. However there shouldn't have even been a game 7 in the first place, if caps won the first game in OT, habs would have been swept.

  • @69GuitarFreak69 just because you have to be a fucking washington bandwaggon doesnt mean they always get screwed over. Grow a pair a nuts and realize you only suck ovechkins dick and not the rest of the team!

  • @iCoReYx Actually I have been a caps fan prior to the lockout. You say I am a bandwaggon jumper but then contridict yourself and say that I only like Washington because of Ovechkin, which is not true. It was the wrong call. If that is not a goal then Holmstrom isn't in the NHL. In fact, I believe a couple days later Holmstrom scored a goal right infront of the net and fell ontop of the goalie in an obviously blatant interference but it was called a goal.

  • stop whining you fucking sore losers.

since most of you bandwagoners probably havent watched the game at all, let me remind you that a montreal goal was disallowed later on as well, and that arguably it was an even more dubious call than this one (lapierre clearly getting pushed into the goalie).

in short, dubious non goals were 1-1. you lost, grow up and suck it up.

  • @joyfulvulture oh canadians fans. Without great goaltending, u'd be hopeless. good thing u have halak, oh wait.................

  • It was bad no goal call that would have tied the game up. You know, GAME FREAKIN 7!!!!!?????

Ofcourse the call mattered!!! You people are very dense

  • Poetic justice after game 2 when the Caps crashed the net for 3 goals that shouldnt have counted

  • @Shoknifeman

Poetic Justice has nothing to do with Hoockey. Moron

  • @JohnJohn10JD - No need to be abusive, btw, it's hockey, not Hoockey, moron! ^_~

  • @Shoknifeman

Geez pointing out an obvious typo? I rest my case Goober.

  • halak sees the puck, goes for it, misses, it goes over the leg pad, and he didnt get it with the blocker, he would have never been able to stop it and knuble was on the edge of the crease. this call would have never been made in any other game of the season.

  • @hockeyyismylife it was a bad call, but the capitals were the 1rst seed and they should not have been in that situation to start off

  • fucking horrible call

  • @coolguy389

remember to overturn there needs to be conclusive evidence

unfortunetly the replay doesn't show how the puck got in and if that part of Halaks leg was infered with even though he was barely touched

    Go Habs GO

  • @893160007 you fail, you know that goal should have been allowed. this was bullshit.

  • @hockeyyismylife i meant shouldnt have been allowed

  • 1. All this garbage about the D-man bumping into Knuble is just that GARBAGE. Watch at 0:18 and 0:19....Gill makes NO CONTACT with Knuble.

    2. If Knuble's skate HAD NOT been where it was at 0:19 Halak MIGHT have been able to get his pad there sooner to make the save.

Just because Halak PROBABLY wouldn't have saved it doesn't mean that it's not a penalty.

By the rules if a player makes contacts with the goalie it's goalie interference.

  • @TheHockeyCentral

100 % wrong. The rules state that if a player is forced into the goal and makes every effort to avoid contact the goal stands. How u can say Gil doesnt hipcheck Knuble into the crease is hilarious. Its right there on film. Let the players decide the series not a rinky dink bad call.

  • So Ovechkin scores goals they get disallowed and that means he chokes? Shit Crosby is barely notable against Canadiens Dwarfs.

  • @hockeyfreakboy99 He's barely noticeable because Gorges and Gill have shut him down like they did Ovechkin.

Ovechkin isn't a choker. He was shut down by Gill and Spacek and Gorges.

Nobody is giving ANY credit to the Habs defense. That's what I find hilarious.

  • well if you watch it frame by frame you can see knubles skate was away from the goalie and the goalie just missed the saved

  • that is such garbage

  • absolut horse shit

  • montreal canadien suck ... it was a goal !!!

  • Did you hear about the new Alex Ovechkin drink? It's a White Russian without ice or cups and if you take a sip you could choke.

  • Capitals 1 Canadiens 1 Referees 1

still though, as much as I like the Caps I don't think they deserved Round 2 after blowing a 3-1 series lead

  • хороший гол...надеюсь Саша покажет свои истинную силу

  • knuble is a great player and if the caps had more players like him maybe they wouldn't be golfing right now, but it's obvious that he made contact with halak in the crease which is against the rules. from what i saw it didn't even look like he got bumped, so i have to side with the refs on that one. furthermore, you can't complain about 1 disallowed goal when you're the #1 seeded team & you lost in the 1st round to the #8 seeded team after leading the series 3 games to 1.

  • @pandala420

well I dont think this goal is disallowed but sure he touches the goalie but he gets pushed in by the defender knuble cant just disappear... he is there first and gets pushed in. but I dont think that this is why the caps lost. Im a huge Caps fan but they took to much bad shots and halak was a monster in the goal. so Its just for the Caps to collapse and be stronger the next year:)

  • @pandala420 Are you blind? The defenseman obviously and intentionally backed into Knuble and Knuble still managed for the most part to stay clear of the crease. By the definition of the rules the goal should stand. 100%

Let the players decide the outcome.

  • Lmao "What the funtimes"

  • Stop crying little losers :) that was the right call to make and if you are not happy, go see the replay with ovechkin that has a broken sitck in his hands in the 2nd game when washington scored the tying goal :O And of course, YOU ALL S*** and whats that guy with the number 8 in his back??:O i've not seen him in the series !!

  • wtf. goalie interference my ass. foot in the crease rule is out if you didnt know.

  • Hal Gill in the way as usual, accidentally of course. He sucks.

  • ahaha TSN has the best commentators.. aside from that queerbag Pierre McGuirre

  • @HockeyHighlightsPlus

Dan O'Toole and Onrite are unreal.

  • @HockeyHighlightsPlus And Gord Miller

  • hah what the fun times?!

  • Correct call. To make the save, the goalie needed to kick out his pad to the blocker side. The contact by the Caps player to his left skate interfered with that specific move. The Habs defense did push him slightly towards the goalie, but the Caps player could have easily changed his trajectory to avoid contact.

  • You know you cant stand in the crease, why is this even debatable, it was the right call 100%. it doesn't matter if he touched Halak or not, the fact of the matter is he was in the crease and that's not allowed.

  • WHAT THE FUN TIMES!

  • It doesnt matter if his skate is in the blue ice because the defenseman nudged him into the goal so the goal should stand. The common sense thing to do is allow the goal and let the players decide the game not a ticky tack bad call. My worst fear is that all the money that was bet on the Capitals somehow played into this awful call.

  • goal it was!!!!

  • Right call or not, Caps didn't deserve to move on, losing a 3-1 series lead to Habs.

WOO!! Two Canadian teams move on!!

  • @Cam2on Very true, and this coming from a Capitals fan.

  • for all the people who say this bad call didn't cost the caps the series, when you lose by one goal, and a bad call cost you exactly one goal, the margin of defeat, then by logical definition didn't the bad call cost you the series, or at least a chance to win it in overtime? It's a shame that this series was ruined by one of the top 5 worst calls in sports history.

  • @mozx10 Then the second of the top 5 worst calls must have been when they called the Candiens goal back? Either way both teams had a goal disallowed so mathematically speaking it cancels the other out. it is what it is.

  • @mozx10 well go look back at game 2 and tell me the goal #2 by the caps shouldn't have been called off. On game 5 Halak got crosschecked in the back and there were no call even know it's wonder how the caps player got behind Halak... And it was also a good call since the player should've have tried to force himself between the defense player and the goalie. By doing so he interfered with the goalie's movement. It wasn't the most obvious of all calls but it still was a good one.

  • @mozx10 i would say its equivalent to kerry fraser missing the high stick by gretzky back in 93

  • fuck thats a bullshit call by refs, they just want the easier road for sidney crysby, cuz washington would kill every team, but somehow halak turned into patrik roy nd played unbelieveable. as much as i hate it, props to halak, he played amzin last three games.

  • regardless he's in the blue ice!!! right call

  • WHAT THE FUN TIMES =)

  • News flash to the people that didn't see the game, they disallowed a Habs goal right after! Lapierre was pushed into the goalie and the puck crossed the line before the whistle blew.

Those who didn't see game 2...there should have never been a game 7...Habs win series 4-2!

  • @oleHABSole and there it is, fuck octopussy go habsss!

  • If you know the rules thats goaltender interference. Good call.

  • @youtoo2oo Evidently you are clueless. The contact was minimal at best and was caused by the habs defenseman which certainly should negate any interference call. So instead of letting the teams decide the outcome what we got was a rinky dink call that decided the series. JUST AWFUL

  • so if the defenseman hits u into their goalie u still get called for interferance? bc he was clearly bumped into him

  • @bigcountry7104 wow are you fucking blind? the video is right there. Gill is in position to pinch off and Knuble tries to squeeze his ass through causing the interference. Bitch all the fuck you chump ass Caps fans want, NO CUP FOR YOU!

  • @Chazwozel1

am i bitching? did i say im a caps fan? all im saying is the contact from the defenseman is what caused him to touch the goalie. its a bad call. it should have at least been reviewed in a game 7 of a playoff game.

  • @bigcountry7104: Goalie interference calls are NOT REVIEWABLE.

  • @BritIronRebel

Then why did they review it? Hmmmm?

  • @JohnJohn10JD read the rules dumbass. They state exactly what calls can be reviewed. NHL Rule 39.4

  • @BritIronRebel

I understand that. Point is WHY was there a stoppage with the refs waiting to get a decision if its not reviewable.??? And why is it not reviewable when it decides the winner of a stanley cup playoff series?

Bottom line is the call was horrible as Knuble was forced and barely got into the crease just as the puck was going into the net. You dont allow such a rinky dink call to decide a series. Let the players decide the outcome not a crooked ref. thanks

  • @JohnJohn10JD: They didn't review it per the rulebook. The rulebook doesn't change just because it's the playoffs. You act as if that one goal lost the entire series for the Caps, which is not the case. If one call decides the whole series, then you should have played better in all the other games. You seem to think it only happens to the Caps- again wrong. The Pen's Kunitz had TWO goals in ONE game disallowed on questionable calls vs the Sens.

  • @bigcountry7104 YOU CAN"T REVIEW GOALIE INTERFERENCE CALLS!

  • @bigcountry7104 but what was he doing trying to move in blue ice between the defenseman and goalie when he clearly had not other option than to bump into at least one of the 2 to get past them. Also a perfectly good goal from the habs was called off right after and if you look back at game 2 you'd know it shouldn't have went to the 7th game. Don't forget about the caps moving their about 3 times on purpose.

  • this should be a goal

  • FUCKING BULLSHIT!!! The caps got robbed, we were behind Halak and saw it all

  • @fuckyouahahahaha , knuble was in crease and touched halak causing a goal. its goalie interferance no matter how big or small just like andrewtournaylive said. so suck it up because clearly Montreal is the better team. GO HABS GO MUAHAHA!!!

  • @fuckyouahahahaha "The caps got robbed, we were behind Halak and saw it all"

In Slovakia Halak is behind you.

  • Best call of the year ! Go habs go !

  • only a good call if you're north of the border

  • When I first saw this, I felt guilty because I wanted the Habs to win (I'm a Canucks fan) but it looked like a really sketchy call. However, looking at it again, I suddenly realize why it was made. It was a good call. You don't have to push a goalie over to interfere with him. If you impede his movement inside the crease, and he can't make a save that he would have normally been able to, then the goal is going to be disallowed, end of story.

  • notice how its all habs fans in these comments.. coming to praise the brutal call that got them into the second round

  • Most of the people who think this isn't a goal that posted sound like they are10 years old. State why it is not a goal besides Caps fans are cry babies. If this was interference then there is new rule that is not in the book yet. He did not interfere with Halak. If you watch hockey you see worse than this in most games.

  • @FOODAKILLA57 Like Montreal pushing Varly into the goal after a blocked shot. Clearly goalie interference under NHL rules, yet it still had to be reviewed while this one wasn't.

  • @Jankinator Lapierre was pushed into the goalie and the puck crossed the line before the whistle! that should have been a goal, this one you can clearly see Halak can't move his leg out.

  • @oleHABSole Yep totally agree and besides the caps had so many chances to end the series they just choked. Don't say its cause the disallowed goal Caps Fans cause your boys choked in game 5 and 6!

  • @FOODAKILLA57 he was in the crease, touched the goalie while he was making a save thats interference no matter how big or small

  • @FOODAKILLA57 knuble was in goalie crease and touched halak causing a goal. goalie interferance. look it up. i think a professional referree that called it the second it happend would know more about hockey then you. seeing as how hes in the game.

  • good call !

  • Caps suck, and there was interference btw.

  • @verbod 5th grade is back in session. Get to class

  • @FOODAKILLA57

wow man, you are so funny ! Are you a comedian ?

  • first of all he got pushed into the goalie and second the goalie was not affected by the skate of the capitals player

  • "What the fun times!" LOL I love Dan O'Toole.

  • Hahaha crying babies, 'nyway Caps Power Play = 3%

  • it was the right call

  • @kanyeezy24

    BullPOOP!!!

    It was a horrible call.

  • I say like Bruce Boudreau says in the end.....WTF?!

  • hey RadProductions7, have you got no memory? remember game 2 where there's been TWO obvious goalie interferences and they havent called 'em. and a caps win was best for Bettman. what the fuck are you on about?

  • woah did anyone notice how the ref points to it as a goal at first. but then changes his mind cuz he remembers (ohhhhhhh yeah what did bettman say? "caps lose" right)

  • woah did anyone notice how the ref points to it as a goal at first. but then changes his mind cuz he remembers (ohhhhhhh yeah what did bettman say? "caps lose" right)

  • This was arguably a bad call...

Just like it was a bad call letting the Capitals knock off their net once or twice every previous game to avoid the Canadiens' best scoring chances.

  • @booobbobo in the end the series was in fact fair. The better team won. How the hell do you blow a 3-1 series lead??!?!??!

  • Everyone knows Caps fans are the biggest bandwagon Homers on Earth. They're going to dispute this 100% fair call until next season starts. I want to know how your Great Ape Ovechkin choked on a 3-1 series lead?

  • @Chazwozel1 explain to me how this is fair?

  • "If an attacking player has been pushed, shoved, or fouled by a defending player so as to cause him to come into contact with the goalkeeper, such contact will not be deemed contact initiated by the attacking player for purposes of this rule, provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact."

Gill's contact with Knuble could possibly fall under this.

  • @Jankinator Or the fact that Knuble went in the blue ice even know it was clear he couldn't avoid contact. + go look back at game 2 for goalie inteference not being called and the caps moved their net at least 3 times when the habs had almost certain goals. The caps would've lost in ot anyway if it got to that point.

  • If this is goalie interference Tomas Homstrom will retire tomorrow!! This call is horse shit no matter who you are rooting for.

  • I'm not gonna blame our loss on Montreal to this one instance (because, quite frankly, our PP sucked and Montreal's defense shut us down), but this should have been a goal. And this would have given the team a lot more momentum. If Knuble did interfere (which is debatable), it was because of Gill. Gill skates backwards and ends up pushing Knuble into Halak. This would means no interference. At the very least, the play should have been reviewed.

  • @Jankinator : Monteal had a goal disallowed for interference too!

  • @BritIronRebel That is because their player pushed Varlamov into the net while he was covering to try and push the puck over the line. That was not only interference, it also deserved a minor penalty under NHL rules. But that play got reviewed and Ovi's didn't.

  • @Jankinator : Interference calls are not reviewable!

  • @BritIronRebel Only after the puck is dropped and play is resumed.

  • @Jankinator You'd better read the rulebook then. It was NOT reviewable.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @BritIronRebel yeah but theirs was cleeearly not a goal...yet they got a review when the caps didnt

  • Comment removed

  • @Jankinator NO NO NO. Gill was in position. Knuble skated behind him as Gill was backing up, trying to slide between Halak and Gill to catch the rebound. Smart move but very risky as Knuble found out. Gill was NOT at fault and Knuble is clearly at Halak's skate before being bumped by Gill. Either way, interference calls are not reviewable. There is no fucking conspiracy when your fucking team CHOKES on a 3-1 series lead.

  • Hey iluvdesmond! Fuck you! Fucking moron!!!

  • NO GOAL!

  • I think that caps fans defining the entire series on this one non-goal is absolutely stupid. Let me remind you, the caps had 3, count em, 1, 2, 3 fucking chances to end this series and they couldn't do it. They had a 3-1 lead on the series and couldn't close it out. Don't blame the refs, don't blame Bettman, blme your own fucking team that couldn't get the job done.

  • What the... fun times - это зачет)))

  • The Capitals thought that they could get away with this kind of riding the crease and interferring with the goalie - see previous game, too. This strategy did not get them wins and they should reconsider this kind of play. You can't do this to the goalie game after game and not get burned by this unsportsmanlike conduct. He can't play like you want to kill the goalie every game. You have to respect the goalie and the crease.

  • Ovechkin is the worst thing that has happened to hockey since the broad street bullies. He's a showboater and hotdogger. He plays for himself and is not a team player. He's all that's wrong with trying to make hockey more exciting for the ignorant masses. He mocks hockey and he should keep his circus act in Russia.

  • @iluvdesmond This comment seems to be filled with a little racism. And you could not have gotten a more incorrect impression of Ovi. He is a team player. He stayed with the Caps because he loves his teammates. He is physical, yes, but does not try to hurt anybody. He celebrates exuberantly because he enjoys the game and has fun. Do you want everybody playing with a straight face? Ovechkin loves hockey, more so than any player or any fan.

  • @Jankinator : "but does not try to hurt anybody" The NHL doesn't seem to agree with you (not do I) as evidenced by his suspensions.

  • @BritIronRebel Ovechkin is a great guy, and I cannot see him acting with malice and trying to injure someone. He really is a nice guy. Ice hockey is a physical game. And Ovi plays it that way. Sometimes he gets a little carried away, but any injuries that result are not his fault than unfortunate circumstances.

And TBH, I think the NHL is a little disgruntled at Eastern Europeans outperforming Canadians (except when they play for a Canadian team like Halak). It borders on racism.

  • @Jankinator You don't know Ovechicken personally to know shit about any of that stuff. He ADMITTED that he wants to hurt the guy he hits. He's done it for YEARS! The league finally got tired of giving him a pass on discipline that shoul dhave happened in the past.

Racism???.....You Caps fans are always full of conspiracy shit. It's pathetic. Learn to lose with dignity. Your team choked big time.

  • @BritIronRebel Then why was Montreal's disallowed goal allowed? Both come up under Rule 69: Goalie Interference.

And where has he "admitted" that he wants to hurt people? In all the interviews I've seen of him, I've never seen him say ANYTHING like that. His personality comes off as completely opposite, and I would find it difficult to believe that he is simply acting. Can you find a picture of him with a look of malice on his face? It just doesn't fit his persona.

    Conspiracy? Is that a joke?

  • @Jankinator Read NHL Rule 39.4

Ovechicken said his intent is to hurt people when he hits them in an interview during his last suspension. If I could post the link here, I would. He has a LONG history of intent to injure, from his skates leaving the ice on every hit to intentional kneeing. Ask Gonchar, a fellow countryman, who says he's a dirty player.

Yes, Caps fans that talk conspiracy ARE jokes. I have read them saying that about Crosby and the Penguins NUMEROUS times.

  • @Jankinator Throwing around a word like racism - oh, how modern of you. Why not just disagree rather than throw around a word you obviously don't know anything about - or you wouldn't use it with such ease. Yes, a hint - how subtle Not

  • @iluvdesmond When Ovechkin gets crap from Canadian officials and sportscasters that is possibly related to his ethnic background, it is racism. And don't let yourself think that I don't know what racism is. In D.C., racial tensions are high due to the big discrepancy between poor blacks and well-off whites. I've had people hate me because of the color of my skin, and I've had three friends beaten up this year for the same reason.

  • @Jankinator He is Russian but that has nothing to do with the way I feel. What am i suppose to say - keep your circus act in the U.K.?!? I could care less where he's from. If he was a quality player, I would appreciate his skill. I think the Russians that played for Detroit were really good - and they weren't showboaters.

In any case, thanks, aside from the racism comment, for being peaceful in the back and forth. You do justice to your character and you honour your parents.

  • @Jankinator I agree, I don't think Ovi is dirty and tries to hurt people. I also get the fact that he's young and he celebrates goals a little wildly, I don't like it personally but I get it! However where I disagree with you is that he loves hockey more than any other player and that he's a team player. Until the Caps get a coach that can reign him in, no more of this nonsense 2 minute shifts, and apply some kind of structure and TEAM system, they will never win a championship.

  • @Jankinator He isn't exuberant - he's a show off and show offs are not team players. Hockey is fast and rumble tumble sport it doesn't need showoffs, who are being paid big bucks to do their job, to make it more exciting for ignorant fans who find it hard to follow the game without circus acts. Strumming he stick like guitar and hitting the glass and hurting players for no apparent reason are not the ingredients that make hockey great.

  • @iluvdesmond hit the nail on the head man.

  • @Jankinator He isn't a team player and he isn't a team leader. He doesn't have what it takes to take a team to a Cup or gold medal. He is all about himself or he wouldn't show off. None of the greats were show offs - not Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr etc...And, by the way. He's not that young. He's 24 for goodness sakes. My dad had already served for 5 years in the Second World War by this age. He's immature, a bit spoiled and just bad, bad, bad for hockey.

  • @iluvdesmond Again, you show a lack of understanding about Ovechkin. He does not try to hurt people. Just as Eric Fehr's friend on Montreal didn't want or try to hurt Fehr, but he still highsticked him to the face and caused him to lose 8 teeth. Accidents happen, especially in a physical sport.

Ovechkin cares about his team and plays with his team. He can do with a little dialing down of celebrations, but his love for the game should not be admonished.

  • uhh that was a hazy call but there was some interference. i mean both his skates were in the crease

  • I was not a goal and it's the player's fault. He knows the rules and you can't make contact in the crease with the goalie. It's just desserts because they rode that crease hard and it was a disallowed goal waiting to happen the way they were playing.

  • @iluvdesmond Gill was pushing Knuble back into Halak.

  • @Jankinator He was not pushed. My goodness, Gill was backing up to defend his goalie who was being interferred with.

  • @iluvdesmond And ended up causing Knuble to barely touch the goalie. Knuble would have skated straight past if not for Gill.

  • @Jankinator CRY CRY CRY SOME MORE! It was goalie interference plain and simple. He was in the crease and his leg blocked full extension of Halak's butterfly. I'll make it simple for dumbass Caps fans: Puck not in the crease = player not in the crease and never touch the goalie.

  • @Chazwozel1 The only reason Knuble was in the crease was because Gill made physical contact with him.
