Loved your focus on both Thornton's relationship with Margaret as well as his mother. They have many common qualities--that's why he loves and admires Margaret so much and why Mrs. Thornton can see what's happening between her son and this Southerner. Excellent work!
The relationship between Thornton and his mother is beautiful because when he's with other people ou only see his tough side. But when he's with his mother you see his innocent and soft side, and then the train station scene you see an even softer, loving side.... the way that he looks at her makes me melt.
A gorgeous, touching video, truly. I can't believe how well this song goes with "North&South". I especially liked the part "Hold on, be strong", it really looked as if Thronton's mother was saying those exact words to him. Also, great editing!
Thanks, I use Ulead Videostudio 11 too. Can you tell me how you get this picture in picture effects? I can overlay 2 pictues together, that's no problem but I ask myself how you get this effects that only a little piece in the overlay of the second picture is in the other one (for example at 1:12, the clip with Miss Hale. It shows her but nothing from the background of the clip) Is there a trick or someting?
Sorry I didn't get back to you, I used the mask and chroma key features to get the pictures to do that :) It depends a lot on the image as to how effective it is.

my favorite movie - this is beautiful - the music is haunting-I had never heard it. I thought it was touching how much his mother loved him and how connected they were - when she is so hard and cold to everyone else. You could see how hurt he was in the scene when he said "look back, look back at me." I love the train scene -wonderful video - thank you for making a new one for all of us to enjoy!

This was so beautiful, Angela. I was really moved by this one, I didn't look away from the screen for a second. The song is gorgeous and suited Thornton's loneliness and pain just perfectly. I loved how you built up the drama to the moment he realizes who Margaret's "friend" really was. Great clip choices, overlays were beautifully done, and the amount and type of effects were just right- subtle, yet effective. You did it AGAIN! 5 stars and fav'd.

Love the layering of clips-it gives alot of depth to the emotions. I was especially taken with the section around 2:30-2:40.

Stunning visually and wonderful storyline. The music plays up JT's anguish and pain - love the building moments - and i love that you showed Mrs. T in a different light than just the overbearing mother. Thank you for sharing such a lovely video with us all!

my favorite movie - this is beautiful - the music is haunting-I had never heard it. I thought it was touching how much his mother loved him and how connected they were - when she is so hard and cold to everyone else. You could see how hurt he was in the scene when he said "look back, look back at me." I love the train scene -wonderful video - thank you for making a new one for all of us to enjoy!

This was so beautiful, Angela. I was really moved by this one, I didn't look away from the screen for a second. The song is gorgeous and suited Thornton's loneliness and pain just perfectly. I loved how you built up the drama to the moment he realizes who Margaret's "friend" really was. Great clip choices, overlays were beautifully done, and the amount and type of effects were just right- subtle, yet effective. You did it AGAIN! 5 stars and fav'd.
