Jefferson drafted the Virginia Freedom of Religion Act. America was not founded based on Christian principals.The colonies still under British rule were founded by puritans. America the country was mainly founded by the beliefs of Deism and Unitarianism, which included George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamen Franklin, John Adams, and other founding fathers. America was founded based on reason and logic, not on Christian Principals.
