Personally I think Alonso and Hamilton are probably the best drivers on the grid. But its really hard to say who's the better. Alonso has a lot more experience and maturity. This may be controversial. But I think Lewis drove his best in the 2009 Season. He had one of the worst cars on the grid. Didn't stop him overtaking pretty much anyone.

A season is not decided on the outcome of a single race, it is the consistency of performance that decides the season ending result. Overall Jenson performed better than Lewis and it shows in the points tally.

You forget the best race he made: Monaco 2008. He won after having a puncture and in a very tricky conditions. Of course, you also forgot GP2 Turkey 2006

Always been a massive fan of Hamilton. My highlight is seeing him at Friday Practice at the British GP in '07, '08 and '09, but taking a wave from him on his in lap at the end of FP2 in 2007 was the pick of the bunch :D

Hamilton has the greatest raw talent in F1. Imagine Lewis in a Red Bull. Lewis would outqualify Seb every race. Mark cannot; he is past his best. I'd say get Ricciardo or Vergne in that 2nd RBR. Then there would be some fireworks and competition. Hamilton Rules! I'm sure he will be a triple world champion if he can keep his head right.
Best example of what a racing driver should be. Fighting for the win. No politeness, nor politics involved when inside of a cockpit. When you are down with your personal life it will translate to your driving style, when you're up, you'll see magic happen. That's why I love his driving style. The greatest racer were known exactly for that kind of aggressiveness. Some times you pull it off, some others you don't... let's see him next season where he can be focused purely on driving to the title.
I started watching F1 only a few months ago. Damn shame he's not been at his best these past few races. I would love to see him being aggressive, I've seen too much just standing at one side of the track letting everyone by.
At the moment - Button > Hamilton.

I like them all, they provide fantastic entertainment for us and deserve our respect. LH and FA, arguably the two best drivers on the grid chuck their toys out of the pram when things do not go their way. It's because of the burden of success. hey alonso fan here, very angry with him and mclaren his first year, i think Ron Dennis made a huge mistake that year. But after those 4 year i can say that he is an amazing driver and great to see it,real racing! but i keep thinking Alonso is the most complete driver, so far,

Always been a massive fan of Hamilton. My highlight is seeing him at Friday Practice at the British GP in '07, '08 and '09, but taking a wave from him on his in lap at the end of FP2 in 2007 was the pick of the bunch :D

Hamilton has the greatest raw talent in F1. Imagine Lewis in a Red Bull. Lewis would outqualify Seb every race. Mark cannot; he is past his best. I'd say get Ricciardo or Vergne in that 2nd RBR. Then there would be some fireworks and competition. Hamilton Rules! I'm sure he will be a triple world champion if he can keep his head right.

Best example of what a racing driver should be. Fighting for the win. No politeness, nor politics involved when inside of a cockpit. When you are down with your personal life it will translate to your driving style, when you're up, you'll see magic happen. That's why I love his driving style. The greatest racer were known exactly for that kind of aggressiveness. Some times you pull it off, some others you don't... let's see him next season where he can be focused purely on driving to the title.

I started watching F1 only a few months ago. Damn shame he's not been at his best these past few races. I would love to see him being aggressive, I've seen too much just standing at one side of the track letting everyone by.
