  • Number one hit for the exact day and year of my birth... Look yours up:)

  • Tim's blown a microchip!

  • IIRC Wham (aka George Michael) covered this on their first album.

  • Dear God there are certain elements of the 70s that are so kitsch and embarrassing. This is definitely one of them. This makes me cringe. Dear God this is bad.

  • @RayL1983 lol fun tho !

  • @RayL1983 Do know how much money and babes these guys got after making this song? Also how can you not love that funky beat (>'.')>

  • @RayL1983 ha ha ha soooo funny! My fav is "You make me feel mighty real" by Sylvester. You should see that video. I don't care I love it anyway and that music makes me happy.

want to be a Love Machine.

  • I LOVE THE AFROS! I WAS DEFINITELY BOOGEYING TO THIS ONE!

  • Obviously this is after Smokey Robinson had left the group. But this song right here rocks! As good or maybe even better than anything while Smokey was still with them.I loved the 70's and 80's and I loved watching Soul Train, and this white boy could groove with the best of 'em.Wish those days were back here now, that's for sure.

  • Soooooooooooulllllll Traaaaain! yeah baby! so cool.

  • disco is coming back !!! Finally !!

  • After they sing 'and I become confused', what are the next lyrics? It sounds like Billy is singing about 'an electric cooze', but that can't POSSIBLY be it.

  • @shmuli9 Billy is saying "My voltage regulator cools....when I'm sitting next to you".

  • fromth3future thanks . love this song

  • Look at that sea of bobbing afros. Too cool.

  • @thatsrightisaidit909 well said

  • @thatsrightisaidit909 - natural hair, those were the days. But lots of black people these days consign themselves to poverty by spending all their little money on their hair. I know...this girl i hook up with about once a month is poor, black, 21, broke, jobless, with a baby, and any money she gets goes right to the hair shop to by some fake hair. Forty to sixty dollars at a time.

And the hair only lasts for a few days, weeks maybe.

So natural hair is better and cheaper

  • @thatsrightisaidit909 the afros are so static that it looks like the muppets....

  • i wonder who played bass on this one ?

  • @pumkinbreath I could be wrong, but I think it's Billy Griffin's brother Donald, if not him, then Marv Tarplin.

  • it would be SO FUN if they played this at prom

  • HEAVYWEIGHTS!!

  • @arreboy12 tim's blown a microchip!

  • @arreboy12 yes! Yes! somebody remembers that movie! fuck yeah!

  • @arreboy12 best part of my childhood!! hahahaha.... never thought i'd end up fat... lol

  • @arreboy12 that's what brought me here. I always crack up when I hear this song now. Between that "Oooh hoo hoo YEAH!" at the beginning of the song and just imagining the counselor from the movie start his freak out dance

  • SPOT THE WHITE GUY! WIN A PRIZE!

  • ????

  • I'm so gonna sing this to the girl I like. The only romantic song I like

  • I met the man who played bass on this track. He and his wife are wonderful people. 'Hope they are doing well.

  • remember this when it came out i was 12 yrs old .. we use to dance on the sidewalk with an radio....kday 1580 here in los angeles and kgfj eadio 1230 am radio dail

    mwemories

  • @sierria64 I remember this song too. However, I was just 5 years old coming up in Compton. I miss the old Kday.

  • LMAO........at my age of 34, I'm a love machine

  • Where's my time machine? Maybe if I click my heels 3 times, I'll be back home.

  • Ok i remember this tune. Loved watching Sooooul Traaaain.

  • The 70's had the best music ever. You will never as good of dance music or great classic rock. And has anyone noticed you can understand all the words?

  • @upstatenurse AMEN 2 THAT, when music was music! They didn't sing, they saang.....Did the Damn thing.

  • Fantastic tune, it stands the test of time.

  • 70,s may be good but a think 80,s ad beat it hands down

  • @pyeman90 Overall The 70's KILLS the 80's musicwise.

  • @TechMaven

Oh my, I agree! I've been saying that since I was young & growing up in the 70's & 80's even! I mean, yeah, there were some great songs out of the 80's, BUT, most of the music out of the 80's had a cheesy feel to it, more colorful with names like Culture Club, & Wham, etc...Where the 70's was pure talent & THE decade in music, & always will be!!

  • @TechMaven i agree but 80's wasent this kind of music it was more beggening of pop and hair metal so you cant really compare

  • OOOOOoooOOOOOO YEAAAYYYUHHH

  • @controversyking Rap was around in the seventies and it was good! Rapper's Delight is the bomb!

  • Personally I don't think the music is great. But, I just wish I was around that decade so I could participate in the dancing and fun that the fans were doing on this song. Because it just looks damn fun. Now its just smoking and drinking at concerts.

  • I'm just a love machine and I won't work for nobody but you

Yeah, baby, I'm just a love machine

  • i think its sad to have such lame verse for such a powerful chorus.. love the chorus!!

  • This song gives me the runs

  • heavy weights!!!

  • Billy Griffin is sexy as he wanna be!!! I loves this song!!

  • "Smokey WHO ? "

  • coolest song eva :P

  • Pure Music...Not tainted with autotune and the Commercialism of todays music..sorry bieber generation.

  • OMG BILLY GRIFFIN IS SO DAMN FINE!!! OMG

  • THERES SHIT EVERYWHERE

  • PUSH IT PUSH IT BABY OWWWWW!!

  • I JUST A LOVE MACHINE AND I WONT WORK FOR NOBDY BUT YOU

  • im gentle as a lamb, i'm not that hard to program!

  • The music in 1970s was good but that decade also gave a fair amount of dross. We only recall these tunes because that's what they are: the best of that decade. The 1970s also produced Slick, Mud, Bay City Rollers, Chicory Tip, Osmonds, the Nolans, Showaddywaddy Liquid Gold .... the list is endless. The reason we dont recall them is because they were instantly forgettable and I apologise for reminding us of them and mentioning them on the same page as a great act like the Miracles

  • Scott Edwards you are the man .

  • THIS SONG IS BANGING BIG MACA LIVERPOOL

  • LOVE it!!!

  • Saw them live at the Hammersmith Apollo in 1976, The Tymes were supporting them. Brilliant, takes me back

  • I hated when Smokey left, but Billy Griffin filled the shoes of a legend. The Miracles need to be in the Rock and Roll HOF. Happy Birthday Billy.

  • how could i forget that nite ,my love machine ?xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh YEAH!!!!!

  • this song is funny!

  • @monkeyboy9972 this is a good song! why don't they play more disco in clubs or school dances?!

  • Loving Mr. Billy Griffin he brought a whole new vibe to the group. Outstanding performer. Props to the other guys as well. This song is a jam.

  • Nice music with a lot of glamour, learn it regaytoneros! -_-

  • i hate the 70's for the most part

but i have to hand it to a great song like this one,i mean, the vocals are amazing

and i first heard this in the movie Heavyweights

haha, does anyone remember that?!?!?! haha

  • @changobilly22 hell yeah heavyweights is the best

  • The Miracles' last hurrah?

  • A 1975 song

  • @nancyfloressantos This song carried over into 1976 and hit #1 that year.

  • Amazing song a true jewel of the disco music and the 70's in all, :))

  • Bruce Willis in Friends hehe ;)

  • ah ah i was a lerrve machine but now i'm an old codger lol

  • i love this song!

  • This is such a great song-both the vocals as well as the unedited album version. Even without Smokey, this tune rocks!!!

  • Pretty Little Patsy, you are my Love Machine, xoxoxo (-:

    Great Song

  • Yes, Even it appears on a tragic episode, with the sudden demise of Billy...And he hears this music while seeing on a allucination Ally and the others women of the legal firm dancing, too.

  • where are the dancing Denny's chickens?

  • thanks for posting same as crazyaboutthe70s what can i say fantastic

  • love this ..the song,the look,the feel ...

    what can i say..its the 70s!!!

  • WOW...closing my eyes and can see everybody at the block party doing the "PATTY DUKE"...LOL

  • This is a classic

  • I'm gentle as a lamb

I'm not that hard to program

There's no way that you can lose

    Chassis fits like a glove

I've got a button for love

That you've got to use (push it, push it baby)

    Just fantastic........

  • This is the jam.

  • Damn that Billy Griffin is fine. He has a much stronger voice that Smokey. Good replacement.

  • fine ass .... his voice sounds like smokey but a bit deeper

  • @carolinaguy321 LOL IS FINE YOUR A DUDE?!

  • @ArmoredV I am! and Billy Griffin is FINE!!!

  • @carolinaguy321 Sorry Carolina the person hasnt been born yet that could replace Smokey

  • @08marathon Think about it, Smokey's voice was very weak. If he sang more than 3 songs, he was horse.

  • @carolinaguy321 You can tell he has the confidence to pull it off.

  • i'm so glad i lived through the 70's.......what a great decade

  • Me too! The 1970's is the greatest decade in all types of music.

  • @ddja57 there is some debate there 80's totaly beter

  • @thechrz24 There is no comparison. In the seventies unlike the eighties the music sounded just as good live as it did in the studio. There were a lot more different musical instruments played in just about every song. Those days are gone.

  • @ddja57 it really was! i wished i lived back then

  • @ddja57 disco almost killed music...

  • @ddja57 dont forget about the 60's :D

  • @playwithme30 True, the 1960's had it share of great music. But the 1970's was more diversed, refined and more dancable. And the recording was far superior.

  • @ddja57 yea tell me about it nothing gets better then the 60's and 70's. yes i completely agree 70's was the best for dancing by far.

  • @ddja57 ok this totally sucks!!!!!! i wish i was born in the 70's just to get to hear the bands when they were actually touring. But still after almost 30 years this song still rocks!

  • OTHER GROUPS may be COOL....

    BUT THE MIRACLES RULE !!

  • Nobody thought that THE MIRACLES would have another hit after SMOKEY ROBINSON left the group..The MIRACLES SURE PROVED THEM WRONG. Not only was LOVE MACHINE a HIT, it sold over 2,000,000 copies, hit #1 on the Pop Charts, and earned a PLATINUM RECORD !! The Album it came from , 1976's "CITY OF ANGELS", also went platnum. They also had a million-selling Gold Single, "DO IT BABY", and a Top 10 R&B hit, "DONT-CHA LOVE IT. THE MIRACLES had 9 charting singles and 7 charting albums without SMOKEY.

  • SMOKEY WHO ?

  • Always loved this one. Went to the top of the charts when I was in high school. Reminds me of all those carefree weekends watching Soul Train!

  • I remember singing to this song! But I never knew who sang it or wrote it!

  • I love that everyone has afros! LOL

  • In addition to their obvious talent, the MIRACLES have always had a reputation as one of the best- dressed groups in the industry!!

  • THE MIRACLES RULE !! with or WITHOUT SMOKEY !!!

  • soooooooooooooo right!!!!

  • The lead singer does look just like Dwayne from What's Happening

  • He does! First thing I thought when I saw him!

  • For some reason, i can't get enough of seeing all those afros bounce up & down to the song. I like it

  • Thank you very much for this.

  • One of my favorite songs of all time ! The lead singer looks like Duane from What's Happening lol.

  • Always, makes me wanna dance!!

  • love this song!!
