It was pretty much a statement to all the idiots that call any car a ricer when people put some aftermarket parts into it that cost some money. This car specifically is actually pretty clean compared to others, so to call it a rice because a few little things were done is pretty ignorant.

@comgeturs Agreed, that putting after market parts doesn't make it rice, but throwing a body kit and an exhaust on a otherwise slow car does. now i don't know if its been boosted or anything, im just not a fan of body kits on mitsu's i think they look dam good stock. imop.

@BOOLET1991 im trying to find a custom wide body kit. i have thought about buying some different parts and having the body shop cut and mold them together. i want wide fenders, sleek front end and sleek rear end. The Veilside fender flares made for the nissan 350z would look great but there is a body kit for the 3g but it has a nasty front bumper and ugly gill like fins on the side

yea. i gotta 2000 GT but its all done for show. no engine work. bout to hopefully trade for another 1998 GSX. i had my first GSX totaled when someone pulled out in t-boned my passenger door and pushed it across an intersection into zaxbys parking lot. i wuz pissed. stage 2 HKS turbo, AEM fuel management system and about 20k worth of work done to car. but his fault for running light. still miss it. 3g's are sick tho dont care what people say

Chardging? Dude seriously. I never said it was impossible. I said its not the greatest platform for it. If it was built to be a performance car they would've built it DOHC for starters.

hey man fuck what they talkin bout. the 3g has a more solid platform for performance. i had have had 3 2g eclipses and i gotta 2000 GT and i love it the most outta all of em. heavy car to do with but carbon hatch lightened it a lot. but man sick car. keep it up.

Expect to spend about 4k on a full engine build (the bare minimum being forged or hypereutectic pistons), and let that be the precursor for your FI - even NO2.

Expect to spend about the same, less than $4000 for turbo hardware - piping, turbo, fuel, and fittings

Finally, spend some good time and money on engine management. I'd say that's about $1000+ for your typical choices, plus another extra grand minimum for your wideband o2, boost, electronics, and readout/gauge equipment.

He won't listen but I totally agree. He bashed me when I said you're better off modding the 4cyl 3G since I've heard its easy to swap an evo head on there and run a turbo setup. Plus the 4cyl engine, i believe, can take quite a bit more of a beating.

absolutely.. its way more common to put a turbo in a 4cyl. the 3.0l would be hard to tune and tough on the internals. i think the 6cyl is more suited and easier modded with a supercharger almost.. it seems less expensive .

if i was looking into performing with my3g i would go with a RIPP supercharger.. but i dont.. i put my money into paint and exterior.

hey.. you go to all these 3g movies posting about how you want to boost your ride. ... go drop 3-4k on your ride and it will be maybe as fast as a stock gst or tsi.

your 2003 gts would be a nice show car. get a nice paint job and keep it clean.. your car will get destroyed by any serious competitor. the 3g is 3300lbs and fwd. BIG MISTAKE

if you take out the interior and stereo... your not going to take away all that much weight... a 3.0l with a turbo is hard on the internals.. it will be problem after problem with the internals of the engine... try a total engine swap maybe haha

yah of course ill be running weisco forged piston i would run je but there really expensive alittle to much for my bank book plus in run weisco in my 1g and they hold very well i like them alot plus eagle connect rods and crank if its available i havent checked yet i might even sleeve the block with dart sleeves not sure yet but im working on i plan on 15psi i know it can be done
