Dude, I will probably never reach the extreme nerd levels here, but if I do, I'd like to thank you for being my personal hero. Like, I love you, man. This stuff is fantastic.
@buggyiscool totally. but it's partly a nostalgia thing andpartly a hardware modding thing. emulating that retro hardware sound just doesnt do it for me.
@secretmiggles nope sorry. they keyboard functions are coded into LSDj directly. i suppose you might be able to remap the keys with some clever wiring, but i havnt heard of anyone doing this.
Mate. You're clever as hell for bein able to do all that but i kind of wonder why you wasted your intelligence on doing all that rather than making somethin absolutely amazing which is pretty obvious you're capable of
im gonna be Pittsburgh and bring the steel curtain down. thats pretty cool but since you got a mixer and everything, you should try another video with the audio feeding into your pc. i could hear you tapping the keys louder than some of the notes being played. XP experimenting with chiptunes myself
IM SO FUCKING JEALOUS. i wish i was in that room blazin and chillin and fucking around with jam sessions. 2 player mahfucka ;) i suck tho. just lsdj andnanoloop on emulators and famitracker here and there..got one dmg-01 still original grey tho un modded. you have everything im dreaming of everyday. your lucky.
I have an LSDJ rom and play it on Visual Boy Advance. I would really like to make one of these keyboards. Does anyone know how to make these where instead of rewiring the output cable into a gamelink cable, you could leave it as is and just plug it into a laptop/desktop and play it on the emulator? Or how would I go about setting that up on the emulator if it is possible?
@balmungofazureskies search or ask on the forums at 8bc.org, i think this has been done, but i dont have a link off hand. i think's its called the "virtual development keyboard" in the emulator. but im not sure which ones (any) that have it.
@mog123noblog most carts are 32. but they do make a 64 (i have one). gameboy roms have a max size (hardware specific) so the LSDj rom is designed to fit the minimal size requirement (including max save file size)
@mog123noblog the rom is designed to fit on the standard size (32mb) but if you get a 64mb one, you can have multiple roms on the same cart. i have one of each, and they run the same ;D
@TheRandompanda8 Noo, they don't. But you can just experiment with the wires on the pins until they work, which is what I did. There's a tutorial link on one of my keyboard videos in my profile if you wanna look =)
@nakucaulfield yup. just set the tables up to make arpeggio. then you can either attach that to an instrument, or activate the table via the keyboard.
Hi, I have built a LSDJ Keyboard, and I know it is working. But i can not figure out how to set up LSDJ so that it work like your does on the video. Ples can you tell?
