That SD60E looks like those CNW "crandall cabs" I've seen in pictures minus the bell in front...very nice consists and a fine job catching the sd60's and the gorgeous E units...thanks for posting
My uncle is on the board of directors at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. I'm trying to convince him that the museum should grab a CR SD60I some day in the future. They need a wide-cab to represent the modern era. Does anyone know how many years it will be before NS retires them?
Wow, this is great. You literally got everything worth noting all in this 19 minutes! The nose on that SD60E reminds me of the old E60's that Amtrak used to run up and down the corridor, despite how many seem to feel about the reliability of that unit, I kinda like that 6900. The E's were obviously great, but who ever thought the more rare catch would be the two blue 60I's over PRR E's? Getting them both in a matter of minutes is pretty impressive, and ending at STELL just closed things perfect!
@coopertroopa44 the reason why tht GG1 is on display at harrisburg is because its the first GG1 to ever go to harrisburg my fellow railfan..this gg1 is in the best shap to be restored to operation besides the ones in strasburg..i hope to see it up close soon
hey goood video i loved the second shot of the SD40 reached by the D9-40CW and the SD60E is it a Reconstructed SD60 right? and the Conrail SD60I the E8 still in Pennsylvannia colors
You absolutely have a gift with that telephoto lens of yours. LOVE your reveals when you're rolling back from an approaching subject. "STELLL-AAAHHH" (couldn't resist). There's no "coulda been"... you definitely are a "contenda". LOVE your vids of any "railcar named..." anything. THANKS for this awesome post! (apologies to Marlon Brando) LOL! ;-)
There is always an overnight 25 MPH speed bulletin in effect for the section of track that was worked on during the day. Usually the first two tonnage trains have to do 10 MPH.
That train at 11:13 is nice

13:45 Looks like a new signal bridge in the making. Shame NS has to dismantle all Ex-Pennsy momentum along the Port Road.

That new SD60E look like one of those Australian diesels. I wonder what new diesel "mutant" they'll have next?
