Looks appetizing. sounds great. It's the way I make it but I leave out the cream, I think all it needs is some home-made bread! Thanks for the posting.
Made this today with waxy-type potatoes--California whites. (Don't need hearty/starchy style in June.) Wow very nice! And easy. First time I ever used leeks for anything. Thanks for the inspiration.
Does the chicken broth and heavy have to be organic? What is this organic thing you are talking about? Why do things drop to the floor when I release them from my hand?
I am making this soup right now. I have watched this video countless times... This soup is so delicious. I love it, my friends love it-it is quite superb. Thanks Keith!!!!
I like to add more veggies including Zucchini, carrot, vegetarian veg boullion cubes (2) some mushrooms, and parsley. I used baby new potatoes as well, and salt and pepper to taste! As a vegetarian, this is most satisfying.
how wierd - all day i have felt like pot/leek soup. so i was just cheking someones' random channel on utube and here is a recipe -wow i am so gonna try this

Looks good but high-starch russet potatoes are floury not creamy. For creamy texture, low-starch white potatoes are the preferred choice I think.
Though maybe you were going for thicker rather than creamy.
Having said that all I have are russets so will give it a try thanks.

Keith, I've tried several of your recipes before, and we all enjoyed them. This is a particular fave of ours! Great site, but then, you know that!

This is a fantastic recipe, however I do like to add a fair share of minced garlic to it. I love Garlic. ^_^
