  • lol at 0:58 i didn´t see that kid until he moved

  • great video. I was looking for a video explanation for the move Werdum performed on Overeem on his Pride fight. THANKS! Ill try this move next time I spar.

  • wish i spoke jiujitsu

  • wtf did he even say?

  • I wish he was training KIMBO back in the day

  • @kimbothebimbo805 Kimbo had Bas Rutten training him. doesn't get much better than that.

  • He opens his elbow because, a natural reaction of the guy in the white is to do some el toro moves with the head. So if his elbow is open he just falls through the open hole.

  • @Junaamhier

    thank you

  • I dont understand when he's saying "Open My Elbow"? His left arm is openeing???nswer please

  • well I have to leanr English because i wanted make new friends around the world.. wht if you learn portuguese because you are interested about BJJ...do your best..the world doesnt go around for you only.

  • boom

  • Werdum seems like a very good teacher. Impressive technique and education!

  • I think the same, his only chance to submit alistair is to take him first to the ground, and I dont think he's powerfull enough to take a beast like alistair down.

And even if by chance he has alistair on the ground, it's not like alistair got Zero skills to defend himself on the ground, more than 10 years of mma training.

Alistair is number 1 in my mind

  • he thinks he's good because he beat fedor who is past his prime. overeems gonna send him to the hospital

  • @xxOMAR313xx he is good.

  • @hitmanpr100 hes good but not a top 5 heavy weight hit stand up need serious work.

  • @xxOMAR313xx lol

  • great explanation, werdum you are nice guy despite you defeated Fedor :)

  • obrigado , from Ecuador, Viva Brasil !

  • Oh cmon. Why discuss about language if u can see the movements and understand everything. More essential is to have an experienced person explaining than to have the best acquaintance ever with an specific language.

  • @edsonrao That is REALLY well said! Amen!

  • who the fuck cares, when you tap, we all know you all will be saying "FUCK" spanish or english

  • English is not the official language of the United States but, English is the official language of 29 of the 50 states and English would be the de facto language of the United States.

  • Uh...another imbecile! If you guys are to stupid to read a book that is not vapid, then at least go to wikipedia and get yourself informed.

  • @ JXJ1326

  • Thank u Werdum, I'm gonna start breaking arms from now on. In my book, the 3rd greatest BJJ practicioner of all MMA.

  • wow....that's a great move...I hope Fedor doesn't try the ground game with this guy the next time.

  • I love how all Jiu Jitsu guys say "Boom" for every movement they make haha :P

  • professor Werdum thank you for the great leap in my bjj game!!

  • Great simple stuff even I could do. Thanks!

  • this is great.

  • good video! thanks!

  • Werdum is to Fedor as how Edgar is to BJ!!!

  • @JSPUFC you must be retarded! Werdum and edgar are two COMPLETELY different fighters. Wedrum is a BJJ legend, edgar is nothing hes just got a cardio and speed. Fedor and BJ Penn are two completely different fighters. Just shut up.

  • @danil15 edgar is nothing? sorry, but you're the one that's retarded.

  • @GrapplingBogota I meant Edgar is nothing like Werdum. Jeez. I don't like Edgar because he doesn't have any Power. He has speed and a hell of a cardio that's how he wins all of his fights...

  • @JSPUFC Except Fedor would wreckkkkk Werdum standing up..

  • Who will win in the rematch between fedor and werdum how do u think people?

  • @LSD999999 not really sure that someone is going to offer such possibility of rematch. It does not make sense. Fedor lost and that's all

  • seems like werdum got excellent teaching skills...

  • awesome video like him alot but did not enjoy watching him beat fedor fedor is still my favorite fighter

  • Great tips... Thanks a lot!

  • I LOVE Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!!!

  • w00t! nice.

  • i thought werdum needed surgery lol

  • @davidmooreltc ahhh...my bad..lol

  • this helped me alot on my ground work ty

  • thank you! i truly appreciate the attention to detail.

  • Heya check out Bloodstain's videos he is the voice of hardcore fans of the sport youtube TheTeamTakeover, Some people just cover the UFC, he covers Worldwide MMA. Funny guy.

  • superb explanation of the technique, very good video. as always! :-)

  • sweeet move... very good explaination... its all in the hips yea... lol

  • Brilliant vid Subs101! Exact same technique he used on Overeem - and that guys strong as a friggin ox.

  • really nice

  • thats a sweet move

  • i will say something that would be considered stupid but kamura never works for me if the guy is very strong i did everything right my patner is wrestler very strong and he always frees he's hand in the last place were he is supposed to submitte i pulled on weaker guys but if the guy is very strong.. it never works triangle my work and many other things but not kimura

  • @SOME1INHERE 3 things that are really key for a kimura is 1.dont use a c-grip. keep your thumb on the same side of his wrist as your fingers. its stronger. 2.keep his hand/arm as close to your body as possible because you are actually supposed to use your core to make the rotation. 3.as he showed here make sure you get your hip out in a position where you can control the rotation much more effectively. idk if this will help but i tried.

  • badass technique.

Keep the sick vids comin Ari!!

  • @davidmooreltc wow,i love when guys get on here and try to correct a world champion grappler.do you really think that he doesnt know everything you just said? hell he probably knew you were going say it before you did.he is just demonstrating one aspect of a very diverse move. but of course you wanted to get on here and stroke your ego and try to act like you know more than a world champion grappler.

  • i pay attention so much more when the guy teaching has an wierd accent

  • @S1L4sLucas Same here. lol

  • Umm, i guess when Wurdum talks, I should listen...As he kinda knows what hes talking about.. LEGEND KILLER!

  • @Dreamthebigdream2012

lol for implying that fedor is done. The rematch is apparently in the works for 2011 and I don't see fedor jumping into his guard again

  • @killswitch308 i think i know you killswitch. do you have a tat on your stomach that says 1981?... secondly.. yes fedor is all but finished, he has not fought any real fighters in along time, he fought brett, who that GOT OWNED by overeem, he lost to Wurdum who got cut from the ufc.. the last person he beat was crocop.. im a huge fedor fan, but there comes a point in ever frighters life they have to realize they are not as good as they thought. Imagine what Overeem or brock would do to fedor

  • Thank you for the lessons! :)

    Osu!

  • Submissions 101 your content is great !!! By far the best Jiu Jitsu channel on here!

  • @nigers331 Because of course you speak fluent Portuguese.

  • @nigers331

What if all the practitioners of BJJ said, "if you want to learn BJJ, learn to speak Portuguese!" You can't enforce the English language when it's not even the official language of the U.S. you dumbass...

  • @mando515 it should be the official language

  • @mando515 English is the official lanuage of US

  • @marx369 No it's not buddy, read up on it! Why do you think the DMV can present you with docuements and test in over 20 languages?!?! Same for court...yadda, yadda!

  • @marx369 The US doesn't have an official language...I'm not getting into the argument of whether or not it should have one, I'm simply stating a fact. THE US DOES NOT HAVE AN OFFICIAL LANGUAGE.

  • @mando515 If the US doesn't have an official language which country does?

  • @marx369 Geez man! Don't be lazy and look it up yourself. Here I'll get you started:

    Luxembourg: Luxembourgish, French, & German

    Bolivia: Spanish, Quechua, & Aymara

    Canada: French & English

    Paraguay: Spanish & Guarani

    Mexico: Spanish

    Brazil: Portuguese

    USA: NONE!!!!

  • @mando515 you dont even need to speak to learn it if you just watch you can mimic him.

  • @nigers331 most of the bjj instructors know how to speak english

  • @nigers331 , Don't you mean " It's time for Brazilian Americans to learn english" ? Also, yes, there are many Brazilians who are fluent in English, so stop bitching.

  • @YamaRider93 I`ll believe only when see one :D

  • @nigers331 , Well trust me, I've seen plenty of them. Royce Gracie, Renzo Gracie, Ricardo Almeida, Thiago Alves, Vitor Belfort, and plenty others. If you haven't seen any of these fighters, then you are no MMA or BJJ fan nor competitor, and you have no business arguing on this channel.

  • @YamaRider93 if I haven`t seen... that`s bs and that`s an offence, ain`t you watching too much James Toney interviews :D anyway perhaps look up in dictionary what does rhetorical question means

  • @nigers331 . What the fuck does James Toney have to do with this ? He's a good boxer, but he sounds like Fat Albert with bell's paulsy. All I'm saying is that there are many Brazilians who speak English fluently, which there are, and I just named a few. If you wanna be a little skeptical bitch about it, then look up one of there interviews on here. Otherwise, stop being a descriminating asshole.

  • @YamaRider93 I think you don`t see who`s an asshole eventually, what the f*** do you expecting from me to say.

  • @nigers331 , whatever dude. To be honest, I kind of expected you to look up one of the interviews, and admit you were wrong, but I guess you're perfectly comfortable being ignorant. Whatever dude, I'm done arguing with you.

  • @YamaRider93 I know there are brazilians who know english thats why it was a rhetorical question ^^ anyway I like bjj and have a great respect for the sport as well as submissions 101

  • @nigers331 I think it is time that you learn to type in proper English.

  • explains real good

  • A good trainer aswell as a good fighter.

  • Comment removed

  • is this one part of a series too. i hope so

  • Great!

  • wow, Werdum is awesome at explaining things in detailed steps...great video!! I'm really appreciating the content on this channel.

  • i learn so much easier when i can't under stand the instructor. thumbs up of fabricio and thumbs up for the video.

  • Thanks you guys are the best

    love you long time :)

  • love new looks on old moves.... great job!

  • This was awesome, now I know how to make a kimura from the guard. Thank you submissions101

  • im jealous of those kids. i want to learn there :(

  • Superb

  • ThATS DOWN

  • beautiful

  • VERRRDOOOM

  • i would never use this one......

  • haha, thats exactly how my dad taught me ' 1 2 3 boom'

  • lol i like how its lists all his accomplishments and one of them is only person to actually beat fedor

  • @bulova1656

why do u even have to say "no homo" ?

Are you that insecure about your sexuality?

  • @HwarangOfFaith YAH, im insecure!!!

  • Thanks for all of the videos from actual MMA competitors I have learned a lot from Your Mir videos

I hope you keep up the vids from MMA fighter

P.S. I hope you got Werdum to explain the Triangle/Arm bar I would love to see that video

  • I would love to see Werdum come to the gym where i train.

  • @100isthebest get everyone in your gym to do a whip round.

  • GReat move

  • Super anal font, but good stuff from werdum.

  • great move, ive never thought of a kimora while your opponents on top. once i had my buddy in an arm bar, i was upside down. he rolled out of it, but i kept his wrist locked so i rolled on top of him and instant kimora

  • wouldent expect him to give a good representation after getting fortunate on fedor

  • LMFAO i love how one of his credentials is that he beat Fedor.

  • @MirkotheGreat well it is a big deal, what ever your views on fedor are, Werdum is the only person to propperly beat the unbeatable

  • nice this guy is blowing up glad that he is getting the respect he deserves after beating fedor!

    thanks for the vid

  • nice!

  • fabricio werdum is a big mother fuker who can break all your limbs. scary dude

  • @rjr0228

    You Suck......

  • Good technique for Jiu Jitsu. Catch Wrestling's Double Wristlock (Equivalent to a Kimure) doesn't need any of the extra hip movement to tap a guy though. Not knocking Jiu Jitsu. I just think in this position, whether on top or bottom, Catch Wrestling has the advantage. In other situations, Jiu Jitsu does.

  • @facepaintedlegend I think the hip movement is important in both Jiu Jitsu and catch, even if you have a DWL style grip for the lock.

  • great technique

  • Master Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner

  • Intresting technique will try it out.

  • You're welcome.

  • Thanks for watching and the support!

  • @Submissions101 WE SHOULD BE THANKING YOU :D

  • @Submissions101
