I'm a teacher myself and I can say that I understand the frustration of teaching a room full of kids who are disrespectful. Not only are these kids disrespecting their teachers but their parents (who are spending money sending their children to school to get a decent education) as well. I teach in Japan now and I have to say the respect I get here from my students far surpass those students whom I've taught in the UK and in America. Trust me, you may hate your teacher now,

No trained, experienced and sane teacher will do that or will be allowed to do in modren academic circles. First and foremost, he seems to have near zero understanding of teaching profession and what challenges it pose sometimes. He was ill-prepared to deal with a student who, presumably, misbehaved in the class. Not just he sacked that student from his class, he did that in an extremely insulting fashion.

I feel so sorry for this poor man, i am in secondary school right now and i see teachers who are only trying to do their jobs and all they receive is bullying and ignorance in response to their dedication and hope for their pupils. These people have dedicated their careers to educating you and the least you can do is show some respect in return. Grow up, you're not only wasting the teachers time but also the time of the students who are trying to learn.

No trained, experienced and sane teacher will do that or will be allowed to do in modren academic circles. Further, he exacerbated the matter afterwards by explicitly threatening students to throw them out of class if they did not let him enjoy easy and passive teaching, which perhaps he was most experienced in and caused him developing such an awfully unprofessional attitude towards ESL students. Lastly, I wonder if he himself was thrown out of the school after this video surfaced on internet?

@stevey2020 Hate to tell you that it's almost irrelevant to debate if it was an ESL class or English class, His outburst apparently for his own good not for the students. No wonder why students from Asian countries score highest in the US and UK, because their schooling does not suck nor corroborates such lunatic attitude of a teacher. The teacher must be sent to a rehabilitation center where his psychological disorders could fbe assessed and put to rest, if possible.

@fkashif Well, as I'm currently working in Asia right now, the kids here are a lot worse, and a lot ruder too.
But, most kids over in Asia (e.g. Hong Kong) are forced into a lot of tutoring and out of school education centres to boost their grades.
But back to the video, it could have been one of his bad days where he'd just had enough. Kids these days are really hard to teach. I know I used to be like him, but I adapted to the new generation and found new ideas...but it's still tough.

I myself is a teacher and the people, societies and schools I have worked, consider such behaviors unacceptable by any stretch of imagination. It's not only kids, everything thing in the world is changing rapidly, demands better and greater from service providers and we have to adapt to the change.

Certainly, one of the worst examples of teaching, especially English language teaching. A number of things seemed wrong with the teacher. First and foremost, he seems to have near zero understanding of teaching profession and what challenges it pose sometimes. He was ill-prepared to deal with a student who, presumably, misbehaved in the class. Not just he sacked that student from his class, he did that in an extremely insulting fashion.
