Dose anyone know why this games crush so much i have cossacks european wars cossacks 2 and both american conquests. but they all crush! the only game that hasnt crush so far is alexander.doesn anony one if there is a patch to fix this problem?one of my friends told me that i need a poor pc to play them on or they wont work.i dont know if its true.

If you wanna play a nice game with better graphics than Empire Total war that takes place during the Napoleonic era check out Napoleon Total War, the battles are pretty much like these one but with waaaaaaay better graphics, and from what I've seen here better gameplay too (haven't played it so I can't really say anything about this game).

@LutzDerLurch Sure, AC wasn't very balanced. But, as you say, it had a potential, and I think its potential is now fully used in the Hawks European Warfare Mod by Gexozoid (last patch recently published after some 6 years development of the whole mod). Google it ;)

@LutzDerLurch We have one mod (being developed now) that is set in the 18th C. European Warfare 2 "Age of Reason". There's a demo of it already available. The main focus is the 7 years war as well as other conflicts around that time.

Empire total war is okay AI wise. far better than the previous incarnations. The only real flaw is that the player is allowed to retreat from a fight whilst the AI can't, giving the player a real strategic edge.

Easy lad. First of all, there are no riflemen, but musketeers/fusiliers. Riflemen were the men with special sharpshooter training, the shortest ones in the regiment.

As for the grenadiers, they are visible, on the right flank of the formation. Grenadiers in the time of Napoleonic Wars actually no more carried grenades into battle, and instead had them in the wagoons. They used them for sieges. Nonetheless, the grenadiers had generally different purpose on the field - they served as shock troops

yes,france has the best cavalry and infantry in this game but they are all very expensive.

When you play online,you could only afford a limited number of them because of expensiveness and when cav fires rifles,your coal will easily decline...

you can use market though but you would need a lot of food,wood,stone etc.

so UK is the best (in terms of production)
