I know how you feel. Budgies can be such great friends and compagnies :( my budgie Tweety died exactly 5 weeks ago. I still miss her so much. She was almost 12 years old. We found her dead in her cage one morning. 3 hours earlier when I went downstairs cuz I couldnt sleep she was still alive. Somehow I had this feeling something would happen. She was always by my side and will always stay by my side in my memorie.

@D17rulez I'm sorry to hear that...Sometimes when you have had a budgie for so long, you can almost feel that something is going to happen...I also felt that something was wrong when my previous budgie died before I knew it...I've had him for 9 years! This Keewy died unfortunately at a young age, but we can comfort ourselfs a little by knoing that we have done anything we could for them and gave them all the love we had!

My bird bristol died last year from a lung infection. He was only 4 years old. He could talk, he would ALWAYS sit on my shoulder and finger. Every time I tried to get him off, he wouldnt. Thats how much he loved people. Grr, I'M CRYING!!!! -_-

at 0:05 I could see those peak feathers. My TOOTOO came in through balcony on one hot afternoon looking for water. Saw him very sleepy yesterday. I am worried...

@NadiaBluefox Let's just hope so... After doing a thorough research online, I found out that the Peak Feathers and moulting are causing this. I mean, it is summer and he has tons of these peak feathers and he doesn't let me to remove those peak feathers unlike BB (my lovebird) the cage's door is always open and he never had the habit of sitting inside the cage. However, all these symptoms are what I read online when birds are in moulting season. Let's hope it is that, I'll keep u up to date...

After doing a thorough research online, I found out that those peak feathers are causing his illness and isolation. Apparently it is called moulting (the process of getting new feathers) and tootoo has tons of them in his head (other parts of body it is reachable) and unlike BB(my lovebird) tootoo won't let me to remove them, he is not fully tamed (except that first day when he was so hungry while entering through balcony)

Aww, what a sweet little bird :( The only experience I have with Budgies is one I found flittering around at school. I took him home with me. I made him a little bed in a box, with a warmed sock for a heating pad. He was so cold, the poor thing.. I went out and got food for him, and tried calling around to find his owner. I found a girl, but the poor thing ended up passing away before she came over. I think he just needed a warm place to do it in :( I held him close to my heart the whole time.
