They could close sections while the divers are there so they don't have worry about getting hooked and move to another another section as they work their way around the peir. It might take awhile because the current is also a true bugger at the end.

Divers will tell you there are 100+ I mean not 10 or 20 or 40 but well of a 100 lost crab pots littering the bottom around the peir the crabs are having a tougher and tougher time weaving their way through that mess down there. Until those are cleaned conditions are getting worse and worse. Maybe the local dive clubs could help out. b
