A great guy but can't agree his physique was great - it was very unproportional. His upper body was too big in comparrison to his arms and especially legs.

No, "everybody" doesn't know that. If he did use something (and there's no evidence that he did), only he, the person(s) who supplied him, & whoever was around when he was using it (if anyone) would have known. Everyone else can only speculate.
YouTube is filled with blowhards making this claim, but, so far, none have provided any evidence. I doubt that they ever will.

I read Mark Cameron on Go Heavy stating Steve Reeves cleaned 275 in a kneeling position. I did 140 and was considered "strong" but Steve was also 50% bigger than me. Looks? Only Roger Moore and Anatoli Pisarenko could compete with Reeves, who TOPS Elvis.

It's a fact that Hollywood stars would not be in the same movie with him because of his exceptional , handsome face and that body. That's why he had to travel to Italy to get his start.

@PharmacistMuscle It was relatively recently that the "X" shape with such big legs has become the ideal in bodybuilding.
It as long been favoured to obtain a "V" shape, i.e. broad shoulders, flaring lats and slim waist, which Reeves most definitely possesses!
Another reason his legs looked slimmer is that he is taller than the majority of BodyBuilders in any era.
To my eyes he is more in proportion than any of the HGH injected BB "champions" of today.
