  • Hey Mark! Big fan of your videos!

Which pickups do you use in this guitar?

  • great Job on the demo. What did you use for a noise gate ? That was a shit load of gain !!!

  • @jem7772 Decimator ProRack G

  • THAT'S AWESOME!!!

    How you get that sound?

    What head do you use??

Do you use a mic to capture the sound?

    It's Amaziiin!!!!

  • Over 3 minutes to actually demonstrate the pedal for the first time! Arrrrgggghhhh!

  • @andrewbarnall Sorry about that, this video is a little old and I've learned my lesson. All my videos are now music first talking after :)

    Mark

  • @samhillband no worries. Your other demos are great. :)

  • @samhillband Still better than 9/10 videos regarding this product. Like only one other person covers this product in depth.

  • 4 Banjo players disliked this video!

  • Good to hear Mark! I love my LPs, never bonded with SCs , but I do love the McCarty and CE-22!

What is the Modern like? I might have to try!

  • Mark, thought you were always a huge Les Paul guy...what happened?

By the way...how is this boost into a clean channel for a typical OD tone.

  • @richedie

It's more of a boost than O/D but to be honest I never tried it the way you are suggesting. It should be cool, since the two settings cascade.

I still have my LP and PRS SC but the Modern just does it all for me :)

  • are you running the koko after or before your gain?

  • @bpkkonegro

    Before :)

  • @samhillband

ahh. i see. how ya say it sounds after a gain pedal?

    here's my gears ( if it helps ) - ibanez fr2620, cmatmods brownie, line 6 m9, vox ac30

    cheers! :D

  • @bpkkonegro

I have tried it before the Suhr Riot and it sounds great, not so sure about after a distortion pedal?

  • Nice videos sir. How would you compare this to the BB preamp? I know this is more of a boost but let's say you put either one in front of a moderately distorted lead channel of an amp which pedal do you think gives a warmer more saturated violin like tone?

  • @Haladhara1 i have both and use them with eachother and a fuzz pedal you get the perfect tone :) its so smooth its unbeleivable !

  • @chokerjoker4 Thanks. I may have to try myself.

  • @Haladhara1 I much prefer the Koko over the BB.

    Mark

  • 8:10 XDDD

  • where did you get the guitar at? i tried musicians friend but they didnt have them.

  • Mark have you play the aldrich set of pickups? i want to know if the SSH + sound better.

    Thanks

    Ramiro

  • Great playing, and quite an entertaining guy :)

  • Wow is all I can say, that mid boost really is something out of this world. I actually found this vid after seeing your latest one playing the 80's riffs with this pedal. But damn that mid boost is just nuts! I love it, have to get myself one of these babies. Would this be your most recommended boost pedal?

  • @leetheshredder

This is by far my favorite boost pedal!

    Mark

  • how would you describe the frequency range for the 3 positions? similar to the riot?

  • Ok

What Dokken song is this Riff from???????

  • my God!!!!! your sound is truly Fat!! beautiful and flawless!!! That make's me HATE YOU MAN!!!! but is a Love Hate thing, you can understand it. ;-)

  • Mark - how do you record such a clear sound to You tube? Your tone really stands out clearly. Is your amp miked or do you go direct and use camcorder mic for your speech? This isn't your camcorder recording your sound is it??

    Keep up the great vids

  • Damn you, Mark.

I'm officially $250 down now because of this video, I hope you're satisfied!

  • Nice tone !

  • Mark, great demo. Does the Koko Boost just add gain to amp, or does it add volume when kicked on as well? I'm thinking of picking up one to boost my IIC+ at low volume, but I'm curious if it can be used as a solo boost as well.

  • I wonder.. what strings do you use? But amazing tone with that Koko Boost man. Especially that mid boost.

  • he uses elixir strings ( i know because i take guitar lessons from him ). they're really light. they come in blue packages most of the time.

  • @Matt6Ran95 That's actually what I thought. Thanks man.

  • @jamesteek03 no problem :)

  • I like your shirt.

    Oh yeah, good video. ;)

  • Great tone. While I like yor Axe clips, I am old school, so I love your OD100 much better than your Axe. Pedal really sounds great.

  • Hey Mark, this pedal really kicks.

    Greetings to Canada
