It still amazes me that so many parents were so scared of KISS back in the 70s. I remember my grandma telling my mom that she had heard KISS stood for Kids in Satan's Service. So I never had any KISS albums.  But listening to the music, they were a pop band! I mean, listen to "Rock and Roll All Nite"...what pusses!

They should've got their spin-off from Plastic Man. Haha!

In the beginning Scooby-Doo begat Superfriends which in turn begat Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show. Had that tradition continued, Kiss could have had their own H/B or Ruby-Spears cartoon which would've by all accounts ruled like nothing else! Why didn't they get such offers from Cartoon Network when Powerpuff Girls and Johnny Bravo were produced?

Just got finish watching the whole movie;Gee,forgot just how lamb the movie was.I have no problem that they were trying to make the band into super heros.But the producers should had taken their time alittle more with it and had a lot better story line.Some of the movie was really cheesy really.IMO

This was a good movie from an awesome rock band.

Yes it was, and I really think this was a poorly executed movie, probably trying to capitalize on their popularity and rushed into production. Hence, unclear on how that guy died, or probably didn't think it would make more sense to have him escape for a sequel...though I really don't think there should've been a sequel after that...

A Hanna-Barbera Production? Well that explains things. At this point in the 1970s, H/B had moved from smoking pot to huffing paint to get ideas. Remember "Challenge Of The Superfriends" had come out around this time too.

Actually, an animated KISS series would've gone ahead at Filmation if this did well, but....it didn't. At least we got "My Dad the Rock Star" with a character loosely based on Gene. :)

The problem is that the band hate this movie. Gene Simmons once said "It's a classic movie... Classic movie if you're on drugs," Simmons also compared the film to the infamous B-movie classic Plan 9 from Outer Space, joking that the two movies would make a perfect drive-in double feature.
