The definition of linear is "arranged in or extending along a straight line or nearly straight line". I think linear defines Final Fantasy 13 perfectly. Now are you gonna tell me that the old Final Fantasy games where all straight lines? Subquests? Minigames? Grinding? Exploring? You could many things once the world opened up.
@PRRGangsta FF has always been linear. You must be really deluded to think JRPGs are open world style. The older ones had alot of sidequests but otherwise, you STILL have to go from point A to point B for the story to progress.
@ddvs2012 I totally agree it is a line all the way to the end. I might not think its garbage ,but it sure the hell isn't the Final Fantasy I remember.
I'm playing FFVI... return to the roots my friend! Long for playing Versus too! I'm really bored re-posting ffXIII's flaws, hopefully there are others' video responses on youtube. ONly one thing which might be the minor... at least they could have created Idolons stronger for big bosses and I consider a cool fact for the player to be able to use all 3 characters' Idolons. upgrades so difficult etc. Here I go again re-posting FFXIII's flaws... just leave it!
@ProjectDecade A demand for a good FF13, maybe. But not a remade version of the game to be better. Like I said in the video, this is basically like what they did for 14, they took it down to repair it because it was so terrible that they had to apologize for it. I agree with the fact that there is a lot that XIII didn't touch, but you could argue the same for X, and look at the sequel we got for that.
Oh, and by the way, there is an ENTIRE trailer dedicated to Versus and it actually shows the gameplay, Japanese voice acting, story, and what not. Still no release date, but you're wrong about there being no information about it. If anything, there is less info about XIII-2 than Versus and Type-0.

Dude, you JUST found out about this? If you don't want the game, just don't buy it. Nobody's putting a gun to your head and forcing you to buy it. Besides, they pretty much said they were going to do this when the game came out.

And I never said they were forcing anyone, it's just the mere fact that they are taking time and resources away from other projects to try and go back to fix what should have been done right in the first place.
