Again the owner makes it clear that her cat is also named "Maru". this Maru is also funny and cute. He seems to be more of a risk taker than the Japanese Maru. However both are wonderful kitties.
@nippofilica - the REAL Maru is not obese - he is a Scottish Fold, and one of the features of the breed is a round-shaped face. In fact, in fact, "maru" in Japanese means "round," and your Maru, although a lovely animal, is not at all round.
I think this Maru is ADORABLE as well as the other one. ;)

This isn't -the- Maru. He has a similar coat patern but aside from that this is a completely different cat.
