the Vmax is the KING of straight line acceleration...who gives a flying fuck about taking a corner at high speed!!!!!!!  99% of bike drivers go fast from stop light to stop light and on straghtaways...the other 1% who can SERIOUSLY take a corner, are racers.

i had trouble standing up a v max. shaft drive and tons of tork make it tricky good job and be carefull f-ck all these idiots that think they know everything i could stand up my cbr 900 all day, around corners ,fast or slow . v max totally different

I just boght one today. Crazy and insane bike with plenty of combined torque and power. I came off a dual carriageway earlier in it and as I went around the bend, changed gear, twisted the throttle slightly and the thing squirmed around like a motherfucking motherfuckers motherfucker of a mohterfucker! No, of course, the V-Max is not a R1, it is a heavy bike but, a lot of people was impressed looking the comportment of this truck on the race-track, ha ha !!! - Not so bad ;- )

You obviously haven't ridden one b/c they corner extremely well for what they are. My previous bikes were a busa and CBR600 and have ridden many R1s, gixxer 1000s, etc. To say it is fast only in a straight line is just ignorance and you sound insane trying to compare an R1 and a Vmax. You may as well compare top fuel and GP while you're at it b/c it makes no sense.

Over the years a few riders have found out the hard way that when riding a wheelie the bike will drift into the roads shoulder due to the %slope for rain to flow to the shoulder. Only wheelie on nice flat roads free of debries. Have fun.
