i disagree with Jordan Leen here, it's kind of bull shit he was allowed to stand up from a knee so many times eating up almost 5 seconds a piece without actually getting called or penalized. That's a tad bit ridiculous :/
It was a late call, a wrong call, and somehow it didn't get changed. Pretty crooked if you ask me. At least Poeta got a little bit of revenge the next year by beating Leen in the semifinal.
It was close. I can see why the ref called it fleeing. Poeta did go out of bounds but reshot at the edge for the two and got it and I feel Poeta earned it the two tho.
Ya I don't think that point given to Lean was fare because Poeta took a shot again at the edge of the mat and almost got the two. Both his feet were in and he showed control I don't know why the ref didn't give him two for that. He def. shouldn't have given a point to Lean for fleeing the mat tho.
considering i dont know both of the wrestlers u always expect the under dog to lose, but no son under dogs always have something special in their blood (because im always the under dog in my matches, go leen)
i think poeta shouldn't have been called for fleeing the mat and should've been given the takedown there. but to say refs shouldn't make calls like that in a big match is just stupid. the ref made the call he thought was right, and it was a bad call. just because it's a big match doesn't mean someone won't flee the mat (or what the ref might see as fleeing the mat).
horrible call for one reason.. u dont give away points like dat in big matches wen da call is contrivesial..u dont give dat point n poeta had a better shot at winnig
@kingbey0610 Where do idiots like you come from? It's obvious you are some kind of Illinois nut hugger and have no clue about wrestling. I'm sure you know more about officiating than BOTH of the referees on the mat. Christ!!
They called it because he went from the center...passed the center actually to fleeing for the edge of the mat...you dont always have to leave the mat to get called for that....
It sucks when officials lose he match for a guy.

why'd the ref call the fleeing after poeta's reshot? just a late call?

Yeah especially since Leen dove out the same way Poeta did after Poeta got to Leen's leg.

i agree that there was a take down for Poeta...but there was defiantly fleeing the mat against Poeta. there is no doubt that that was a good call.

yeah pretty bad call there.

obviously the officiating was not great, but you can't say Poeta won because of a bad call.
he didn't win and who knows what would've happened in overtime.

Bad call. Poeta won the match.

They handed the match to Leen. Pathetic. The officiating was as bad as in the Mendes-Jaggers match. The refs should pull their heads out.
