Well, that sorta happened when some people managed to trade glitch Pokemon into GSC and it turned into normal Johto Pokemon. Same to glitch attacks.

Prof. Rowan gave me a Missingno once. I used the walk through walls cheat before i got my first Pokemon and walked to his lab and he gave me a Missingno...I tried to open up the Pokedex to see what number it was...and the game froze. O_o

bakuman551: they're "names" are just random strings taken from the game's memory i think, and most of these strings are attack names .. but there's the occasional few that have name pointers to garbage strings .. (the ones nicknamed GLITCH* and BLANK*) and possibly thoses that have name pointers to abilitys, or part of the aforementioned ability's description ..

That was the only way I could get rid of it, it even permanently filled up all but 3 positions on my team with glichmons and caused the game to freeze on every fight, no way but to reset the game and start from the bottom up all over again. I was kind of upset but hey, it's the price I payed for knowingly looking for a glitchy pokemon.

Wow! That are a lot of Dekamarks! (Dekamark is a fan nickname for this glitch Pokemon)

To get those glitch Pokemons, you need GameShark or Action Replay, but i think if you normal cartridge is corrupted you can find it. Im surprized what someone finaly knows the diference betewen MissingNO and other glitch Pokemons, i think they are cute in a glitched-up way.

I haven't tried. DP Pokemon Hex values aren't exactly the same as the RS ones I believe there would be translation, (Like in RBY to GSC) and that only works for certain values, any incorrect ones would turn into Hex 000, which would be cool but not exactly what you would want.

That's just a theory though.

Infact they are more likely to be real for someone viewing this because the Pokemon have corresponding names: EG 0001 - BULBASAUR, 0002 - IVYSAUR, etc. When you run out of Pokemon names and go beyond 019C, what have you got? Logically it would be the next set of names, which Hexwise is movenames. Of course if anyone really doesn't believe that these exist, the best way to find out is to get an AR or Gameshark and use my wild pokemon hex modifier that I use.

Actually, it isn't rarer than those. ?, the blocky ones are Unown Placeholders so actually have Hex, These are non-existant hex up to FFFF, The blocky ones are inbetween Celebi and Treeko.

Usually during the "Encounter Wild Pokemon" code if I got higher than Chimecho it freezes - I did, however put in a random high number and I got one of those things that was named PAY DAY.

Rubbish in battle, and froze the game if I looked at its stats, but still neat. |P
