  • You expect brilliant guitar work but hey...a decent voice to boot! Got the LP tucked away somehwhere but to my shame not played it for 15 years or more! That may change....

  • empty rooms stockholm live 1987 best version by far

  • Gary Moore is the GOD OF ROCK!!!!

  • legend !

  • As a guitar player, I get how masterful his less is more strategy works. It really is hard to play fewer notes and say more.

I really love his soaring expression takes me away. Bill

  • I love you Gary

  • Goddamit the dude had "heart & soul", something you cant learn, either you have it or you dont. ~peace

  • The best Empty Rooms song that I have heard is off of the live album "We Want Moore." It's really a great song and as always great guitar playing. Gary you will be missed forever. God's speed my friend and may God always be there for your family.

  • My God a great song a very bad video. A possibele lady gaga fan?

  • 21 cocksuckers love to have their arses fucked while they listen to Justin Bieber, Kate Perry and other crappy teen singers.

  • the teenage singers cannot even compare to gary; hands down he was a lot better singer, guitar player, and hardly ever had to lip sync to anything he ever did in his life. They need to get rid of all the wannbe stars and keep a real star...love ya always gary you will always be in my heart and a part of my music!!!

  • Gaz you were someone I always felt close to. Remember calling out for Toto back in the 80s? See you in the resurrection my bro ( Acts 24 15)

  • @mcneuk 25 virgins?

  • Gaz you were someone I always felt close to. Remember calaing out for Toto back in the 80s? See you in the resurrection my bro ( Acts 24 15)

  • I've always felt that this was one of his best songs and greatest guitar solos. His phrasing is so melodic and lyrical. Gary could truly rip on guitar but the slow melodic stuff is where he truly shines. Its hard to play slow and say something on guitar at the same time. I never liked the other versions of Empty Rooms. They never even came close to having the heart and passion of the original. Gary Moore was my hero and will be missed. I am still in shock over losing him. RIP Gary.

  • Not sure if what I heard at 3.08 was what was really there, but it set me off!

I love this music and the words. You somehow captured the loneliness with this home video.

32 years old and hope to pass on his music to my children, like my dad did!

RIP, your music will always hit me!

  • QEPD, Gary, excelente guitarrista!

  • R.I.P. Gary!!!

  • It`s just one man in the whole wide world that´s able to bring it like this- the master by himself !!! Gary, YOU are the best !!!

  • Nice, but I still prefer the 1985 version

  • such a great song, the original version i prefer, though the other ones are also distinct, this is one of those songs that i have to prepare myself for before listening to, there are not that many out there this deep and soulful band like Blind Guardian and king crimson are of similar effect to my mind as well, this is a good upload. peace...

  • elmar die..in this time

  • this is powerful!

  • absolute legend! greatest guitar player ever to grace this planet

  • fantastic number by a fantastic performer

  • Gary More have always been a great guitarplayer but this song and all this eccoshit can't be the originalversion. :-\

  • no, I dont think this is the original version, not at all.

  • Fuckin eaaae I rocked out to this shit sooo hard in the 80s Gary Moore rule!

  • awesome!

  • I can never decided which version of this song I like better... I prefer the intro from the redone 1985 version, the middle solo from this and the kickass solos he always played at the end when he did it live lol.

  • I love the classic part at 2:40

    Amazing sound

  • @MetalSheRoN

    3.59 onwards is the climax.

  • what amazing period

    blackmore,steve perry,gary moore,scorpions,rainbow,journey.forigner

    gods of music

  • la cancion esta guapa pero el video ¿no se ve sino eso? aprede a grabar chaval

  • my favourite song of all time but i still prefer 1986 version

  • always in the mind

  • great song, crap video

  • Ohje das Lied ist und bleibt genial und immer wieder aktuell............

  • In this, the original version from Victims of the Future LP, bass player from the first Rainbow LP Craig Gruber plays the first solo on his bass. Either Gary or his record co. realised the full commercial potential of this song and we had to suffer it in various other formats including taking the place of a new song on the Run for Cover LP. Without Guber's solo. As a fan of Moore I admired him for his musical honesty but that episode quick frankly pissed me off.

  • Great voice

  • love it

  • creepy sad...

  • nice song but .........creepy video it says empty rooms not creepy rooms........thanks anyway for the nostalgic trip...

    stay happy

  • lol

  • es verdad es la mejor version con el mejor solo de esta canción

  • yes but you can see folk being crap for nowt . if you pay £30 they should be good

  • You want to go on youtube and see for yourself that it says comment removed by author. Skipton gateway to dales and thats all it is a gate. They are all posh up there, admit you are a snob from a posh house and haven't got a clue about working class life. I'm from an industrial town with history, you are from a field with a gate in it, LOL

  • o i not working class i bet you have not been on stirke and had union men come in big cars to give you your stirke pay . than ask where they can get a nice pub meal when dint have brass at all . i know your taking the piss like ham with you but no i live in a little house . i driver a truck and a tractor . just trying to make a liveing like you are if brown the clown and new labour will let us . i still say gary moore is twat all best from north yorkshire

  • No worries man take care

  • Hi Tractorlad..still whining ?

  • Newcastle Evening said on 21 4 2009 Maybe it was just the sound. All night Moores three-piece backing band were struggling for a voice. Moore himself, a fabulous technician who let the pyrotechnics just bury the songs and the all-important subtlety.Five tracks in you didnt know whether to clap, cry mercy, or dive for cover. just what i saw in leeds he was rubbish

  • You are a negative twat, why send me a message then remove it off of the post so no one can see it

  • dint know i did you negative twat and tosser i bet your middle class and from london and vote fro brown the clown and new labour or are you a labour mp with a gob like that

  • You know you did you soft bastard and i'm from Bradford you prick. Do you think coming from Yorkshire puts you above people cos if you do you need to get your head read you inbred banjo playing freak

  • Comment removed

  • You have just sent me another comment saying that i am not from Yorkshire then removed it. What is that all about, i can't believe after my initial comment that i am letting myself get into an arguement with someone who obviously is from outside Yorkshire or he would let us know where he comes from and by the way i was born up Manchester road in Bradford as if i need to confirm how Yorkshire i am to you, Mr shandy drinker

  • I saw him on sunday he was very good, alot better than gary moore who he was supporting at leeds, it is the 4th time i have seen gary moore and the worst, he seemed self indulgent as if he was playing for his self, the rifts were going on far too long, at one time 17min and seemed completly pointless, he never introduced the band, .

  • shut it fucker

  • fuck off dick head . take it your in london town full off tossers

  • me and the folk i was with usally buy t-shirts and programmes but i thought he could get stuffed i was not spending any more money on him. I first saw him in 1979 playing with thin lizzy and i have got all his uk albums, i feel upset he behaved this way

  • I Saw Him Tonight At The Colston Hall In Bristol and he was going on an on with some endings of songs the drummer and the bass player were just stood there for like 5mins sometimes doing thinking , he killed one song at the end aswell and was abit funny with some of the crowd aswell. apart from that he played great and was 1st time i saw him.

  • Simply perfect!!

    Congratz =)

  • Awsome. Saw Gary live back in the 80's.

This song was so meaningful to me. Since th love of my life left me in '84. But we move on. Always will love you Paulette.

  • the record version of this sounds 10x better, too bad it wasnt easier to transfer vinyl to mp3 because a lot of records sound better than cd "remasters"

  • Amazing song, Moore is a master. Thanks for undisting this treasure.

  • and i call you a monkey faced delapitated speckle throathed ass ape. Got That?

  • ดีมากอะ555อ่านม้ายยยยยยยยยยยยยยยยยออก

  • Love Gary, can´t live without, have all his albums!

  • I wore out so many copies of Victoms of the Future. Fuck this song is awesome. My girl and I in my 83GT. Makes me feel 18 again.

  • noone plays the blues like our Gaz

love the guy. greatest guitarist in world.

  • With Love!

  • orgasmic mate....orgasmic

  • Every version sung by Gray is amazing.

  • this version is amazing.

  • Un peut déçu part rapport a la version originale de 4,22mn.

  • I love the bass-part in the middle. Causes ... whahahahah...

  • i agree. Thats quite a nice sounding system you got very crisp. Im very into old school 80's audio. Plus the music of the era was fantastic and being born on the 4th september 1983 is a plus point for this song as it was the same year. Fab

  • This is the only version worth listening to. The US-released keyboard driven version is a f'ng travesty. The radio version cuts out 1/2 of the damn guitar work. Do I sound angry? lol

  • yeah sure

  • oh yes it was. i was introducing the track

  • i dont remember hearing that guys voice at the beggining of this track saying this is the best version, it must be a collectible item
