Lol if you really think about it Pinkie, and Fluttershy's reasons for wanting to go to the Gala are pretty unimportant when compared to the others. Rarity wants love, and to be part of regal society which will help her in her career. AJ obviously wants to help her family out by selling apples, and Rainbowdash wants to further her talents in flying. Pinkie wants to party, and Fluttershy wants to play with animals -.-. Yeah, I would put their motives way at the bottom of the list lol.
