  • People that are double jointed are actually hypermobile, this means your joints have a greater range of motion than average. This is also linked to a lack of collagen, meaning that tissue is stretchy and bendy but also weak. This is scientifically proven.

Perhaps double jointed women tend to mess up (break, tear) their nails more easily than a normal woman would. Therefore, they visit the manicurist frequently.

  • You commented on my video, "Betty Botter and the Weird Hands." I'm 43, and all my fingers are "double jointed" to some degree, but I've never been to a manicurist. I do have very strong fingernails, though. Maybe the connection in the survey is that women who focus on their hands are more likely to get their nails done, and tend to be double jointed for the same reason. I think it takes practice. Just a thought.

  • This video has nothing to do with tap dancing please remove it

  • You scare me... Who cares.

  • if its not female tap dancers im not telling you again REMOVE IT ..do it NOW

  • why?

  • I love getting my nails done... and my thumbs are double jointed, and my fingers are double jointed in two different spots: one at the joints on the tips of my fingers, and then also at the biggest joint where my fingers connect to my hand. Interesting.
