If Jani had only embraced sobriety, he might STILL be with the band today. I saw Warrant last summer w/Robert Mason. He did OK but is not the "sound" that most people know from Warrant. Jani probably still has a great voice BUT you can't continue to drink and be able to perform. I pray that he gets treatment & decides to make being sober #1.
I just saw Warrant in concert a month ago and the singer seems like a nice enough guy and no, he doesn't sound like Lane but Lane simply WOULD NOT stay sober so that is why he is out of the band again. Some of these rock stars simply do not get it. Lane, Vince Neil, and others continue to drink & wonder why they have problems in life. Sad..very sad.
@zebraPRODZ you can say that again!! that new guy can't sing Warrant songs to save his life. Warrant will never be Warrant without Jani. i really hope he can get it togather someday, and get back with them. peace to ya!!!
Something about him being drunk. They got some HACK called Robert Mason. Dude looks like Chris Angle ripoff, and cant sing "Warrant" songs to save his life.
@RebelliousHutterite He screwed up the songs, got drunk on stage, got into fights with the band, and caused all sorts of other trouble. Really dissapointing that he couldn't be mature enough to quit that mess. A lot of folks think Warrant sucks without Jani, but I've gotta be honest with you. I don't wanna pay to see a band that's playing very uncomfortably because they don't know what their hammered, violent, trouble making singer is going to do. Robert Mason has not done anything bad.
@RHMETAL I just saw Warrant in concert on Sat. & they put on a decent show. I agree that Jani Lane has a good voice, but alcoholism wrecks all aspects of someone's life if they continue to drink. The band gave Lane a lot of chances & he screwed up again & again with his booze addiction, so the consequences are that the band will replace him. Mason seemed like a decent sort of guy from my impressions at the concert & very much appreciated the fans who showed up. I wish the best for Lane though.
THESE GUYS NEED TO COME BACK TO KANSAS CITY!! (Sandstone Amplitheatre) Everybody with any brains at all loves these guys! I've seen these guys about 6 times and I can't wait for #7
I saw you guys in Heavy MTL and it's just great to see you all original members back together again.I was like a little kid in a Toys R Us a the show!!
