@anebt : Well, if Sam Adams was "the father of the revolution", then me, Tommy O'Farrell is "the father of Sam Adams Lager". I have personally drank enough of their product to keep them in business for the next century. Three cheers for me, Tommy O'Farrell!!!!!
John Adams; Federalist. Believed in a strong central government. Why? Because Federalists were rich merchants and upper class who thought the people were too stupid to truly rule themselves. Thank you for proving his point. Good day, sir!
Yeah, before everybody lines up to give blowjobs and rimjobs to John Adams, I'd suggest googling the Alien & Sedition Acts, which allowed the government to lock up anyone (journalists) who wrote bad things about the government and the president (Adams). It was a purely political weapon used by the Federalists against the Democratic-Republicans.
Was Adams a great man? Yes. A great president? Eh. Good would closer.
@JasonvonEvil83 Well, the recognition here is directed toward his defense of liberty during an assembly of the Second Continental Congress. Of course, we hope and pray that the deeds of great men match their actions, but even philosophers make errors in judgment; and reconciling theory with practice is far from easy.
Leaves out the fact the birth of the nation came at the expense of others ... Native Americans, imported Africans, etc .... Freedom with an asterisk? ...
@MarineBugler The founding fathers realized that slavery was wrong, and in this series it is even admitted that how can we discriminate against blacks when they are too made by our creator. However, it was seen as impossible. The first thing to come was to create a working Nation.
I only hope that this country can find people of such character and conviction! May we hope for an extended country of a Constitutional Republic!! A Free Country!!
The beginning of the end was with the election of the appalling Woodrow Wilson; the death blow for our beloved Republic was struck with the murder of JFK. I don't know if we can ever find our way back, as we are in the hands of liars, thieves, and murderers.
They did not rely on God to save them. They were men who were willing to stake their lives on it. Do not undercut them . It was they who were acting of their own volitional choice.
The title of this video is completely off and wrong!
They realized that faith without works is dead. I cannot think that God did not look fondly on the cause of justice and freedom, and they had ever right as his creations to appeal to heaven for blessings.
The 2 people that disliked this must be obama and reid :D.
