  • An update from croydon hospital:

“We have had a number of people who suggested they have experienced something, but we have not had anyone who has seen the picture that is facing the ceiling. "

guess that is the end of it folks, bummer....

  • haha human beings are so stupid um life after death is real folks its not your fucking braon having a allusion its sad doctors are so fucking ignorant to the fact the soul lives on regardless of what their dumbasses think they cab do

  • @MrChrisjack26 Based on your tone, I doubt you've had the enlightenment of knowing this personally because anyone who's had an NDE comes back with feelings of patience and kindness for others and doesn't go around calling people dumbasses.

  • @ericjungleboy your a self iself-righteous phony your so fake

  • @ericjungleboy jesus is lord god is real heaven and hell are real . I dont know what else to tell you .

  • @MrChrisjack26 Hey, hey, hey, I don't think you should be the one talking, this guy is involved in massive research at my university and is an M.D./M.P.H.

  • LOL......we're discussing probably the most earth changing events and information of all time.....but, sorry, we need to go the commercial.

  • Could it be that the Brain doesn't enable consciousness, but instead, limits and controls it.

  • I wonder if anybody has a near death experience where they go to hell.

  • @evesdrop1982 Yes, but not hell like most people think of. Just darkness and abandonment. They report personally feeling and experiencing the pain and grief they caused others, and they can't advance until they have come to terms with it.

  • @ericjungleboy Fascinating. Definately not "hell" like I would've pictured it. It will be very interesting to see what the results of this study end up being, although I have an idea what the results are going to be already.

  • Im involved in the study in the uk, we arent allowed to see the results - confounding etc etc

I dont think Sam knows the results yet either.

All sorts of tests and things need to be done.

This study will take a long time, but will be worth it!

  • @tejasxtian2006

Thanks for posting. If you dont mind me asking, what exactly do you do in this AWARE study? Im glad that it will be a time consuming effort, so they can make sure no stone is left unturned and everything is rigorously examined in detail.

  • At the moment its all very preliminary, we are just starting out! Im just a dogs-body I basically do the monkey work, we havent officially started yet, it involves going into hospitals and interviewing patients. We have to be very strict when interviewing them, so in that respect I have no idea what the hidden pictures are. Dont expect anything soon though! At the least, 3 years.

  • Hey mounth, have you heard any news from the AWARE study?

  • What do you think the results will look like?

  • No idea sorry!

  • Ive heard there are already 600 patients ready for interviews and Parnia will maybe release the results this year

  • Well Ive talked to sam about this and I really dont know when he will release the results. Im doing the retro-spective part of the study! We have around 150 patients atm.

  • @tejasxtian2006 I'd love to see some sort of proof of reincarnation or something after death. I suffer from extreme death phobia. If death comes up as a topic I go into panic attacks. It's really debilitating. If near death experiences are proved maybe my phobia will calm itself.

  • Myranx... there are also some new quantum theories for consciousness that support the possibility of survival... So, just wait and chill.. Think at the fact the universe cannot be purposeless, look at how structured it is and how wonderful...

  • hey tejasxtian do u know about when are the results goin to be revealed ?

the study has been goin on since 2008 so

    is it next year ?

please keep us informed on the research

  • @tejasxtian2006 Have you, yourself seen any interesting results from someone that has had an NDE or OBE? (If you dont mind me asking)

  • Yes there have been many, its actually more common then we realise! The cardiac arrest team are well aware of it, ive heard lots of wierd accounts from nurses etc. These are all anecdotal, nothing conclusive yet.

  • Hey Tejaxtian, do you know if anyone has seen the symbols placed in the room during the OBE?

    Are there any cases? Thx

  • I'm glad to hear you say that Sam P. does not know the results just yet. I've made remarks that described my sneaky suspicion that he did. But if your comments are accurate, then I spoke out of turn.

How are you involved in the AWARE program? Take care:0)

  • I'm not sure how i feel about this segment. At 4:50, Dr. Sam P. calls out-of-body experiences a trick of the mind. Might he not be inadvertantly revealing some of the results of the international study on NDS? Which is to say that NO ONE in the study who has been clinically dead has reported seeing the hidden images that are elevated above the floor . I think he gave us an insight about the study, and the conclusion is that NDE's are a trick of the mind. I hope to high heavens he's wrong.

  • @ 4:50 "Most of us believe that these are probably just a trick of the mind, but we don't really understand the mind - so it could be that they are really seeing these things..."

I don't think that he's hinting at any results that disprove the OBE phenomena, but even if the study presented a wholly neurological source for the experience, it would be far from conclusive. Which goes both ways, of course...

  • Thank you for responding. I'm glad you're still trying to stay on top of this issue by posting videos as they become available to you. Take care.

  • @anewpersonalparadigm

Thanks for posting these videos. Do you know if the AWARE study will have cameras in the operating rooms. I question what the conclusions imply if nobody sees the pictures. What if nobody looks at their body and instead float down the hallway (will they call this an illusion). Im concerned they may overlook claims of other details the patient may see rather than pictures (such as strange objects on the counter, or a birthmark on the back of the doctors neck, etc...)

  • Yes, they are utilizing cameras in the OR in addition to random image generators, to document any activity that may be reported, and subsequently verified.

You bring up a good point though - people certainly don't always stay in the OR during these experiences. But I imagine the majority of positive reports do, so it makes sense to focus on one location. It's a bit lacking in terms of how extensive the activity monitoring should be, but it's not bad for the first study...

  • science knows nothing about the mind..

  • Science is still exploring the mind. The nature of consciousness is within another paradigm of science, one that the mainstream hasn't quite reached just yet...

But I applaud scientific skepticism and doubt. It may seem close-minded, but it is these rigorous standards for evidence that are effectively delivering us from the madness of religion and barbarous superstitions.

  • @anewpersonalparadigm do you believe in the nde? also religion is not madness it is how you perceive it. people kill in the name of christianity but it doesn't say anywhere that jesus gave permission to murder. he even said all who take the sword would perish by the sword. jesus even if you don't believe was the son of god was still a good man who taught compassion to one another. he even saved an adulteress by telling those without sin to cast the first stone.

  • an update would be nice but think about it, would he be on tv talking about the study a year into it if they were not getting any positive results, judging from what I hear about him and his book, he is not talking about himself when he says "most of us believes it is in the mind", the results will show amazing things, but will be discredited for bs technicalities like other studies

  • These sort of studies do seem to suffer from 'the moving goalpost', as it seems.

But as long as the public has an appetite for BS like the private life of celebrities, I sometimes doubt that this will get much press either way : p

Not really. I'm just Tiger Woods-ed out right now...

  • Yeah, updates would be nice!!

It seems the AWARE study panel consists primarily of materialist neuroscientists/researchers. They are experts in their field of understanding the mechanical workings of the brain.

However, have any of these AWARE folks, consider practicing remote viewing. Their is a butt load of literature on this stuff and it surprises me if they overlook it because RV and Psi can toss materialist theories of mind into the 19th century waste basket

  • Some updates on the AWARE study would be fantastic Mr. Parnia !
