  • ITS BUNGIES FLAMING HELMET!!

  • THAT IS AWESOME!!!!

    :D

  • the screams sound demonic in slow mo

  • The slow motion girls sound. When a T-rex hears that sound, he thinks "There's a pretty one in the distance."

  • that was the coolest science teacher

  • theres a devil in that bottle!

  • lots of fun to inject methanol into your car's intake - instant HP

  • I did this in 7th grade

  • Dude, why do girls scream for like anything.

i like girls but i hate girls when they scream at anything

  • "thumbs up at your comment" yeah i hate it when those girls "scream" and pretends to be innocent when they're all guilty...

  • because guys can't scream lol i donno but it hurts my ears i agree with you

  • your title is wrong. It should say methyl alcohol or methanol

  • U are 100% right (ch3oh)

  • @pooklluvs69 haha wuz about to say the same thing guess i dont need to :D

  • i use to do this all the time until the jug melted. All i used was rubbing alcohol.

  • I've seen this in real life. It was a bit slower but we used isopropyl

  • LOL... a piece of the ceiling at the end

  • It's acting as a pulse jet towards the end. Watch the slow mo part

  • hear the sound of sLow motion.. so scary.

  • Its "methyl alcohol" not methanol alcohol. doi.

  • and that is why methanol injected cars are so freaken fast.

  • lol my science teacher jsut showed us exactly that today im tryin to figure out if there are other thing i can use to recreate that since i cant exactly get my hands on methanol

  • never try this at home but isopropyl alcohol will also work. It will burn more orange and yellow as it is not as pure.

  • yo mr temme we have GOT to do that in class

  • Ben Dizik, why u gotta be so dangerous

  • how much do you need to pour in?

  • @atemme Methanol on a race track has an invisible flame. I had wondered if it created visible light in the dark. Figured it would be blue. The beginning of the combustion process reminds me of the cryogenic rocket engine.

  • Try it with petrol, might get your hand blown away.

  • safety first folks!

  • methanol exudes more energy than Gasoline. i think...

  • judging form their screams i pretty sure they dont do this a lot

  • We didn't have cool shit like this when I was in school!

  • how much methanol did you use?

and what did you use to light it?

  • Turn the bottle upside down, prop it up to a stand or something, and you have a pretty awesome rocket... One time we almost broke a light bulb on the ceiling of the lab with one of these. Good times.

  • we did this at my school today

  • can you make a rocket with this?

  • good question. The opening of the bottle in this demo looks just like a rocket cone. This is what funnels the expanding gas and makes it leave at high speeds. We have set this bottle on its side and shot the bottle down the hallway as a land rocket.

  • i have (look on my channel) but with a 2 litre bottle if you get the mix just right (i put in 10ml of model car fuel) then they fly literally!

  • @routhoula Absolutely, you can see the thrust created by this smalla mount of fuel just by the way the bottle pushes down, you might even be able to channel the exhaust gasses with a more efficient nozzle geometry. your biggest challenge would be produceing a fuel delivery system.

  • wow lol...tht was actually pretty kwl...listen to the slow motion replay and everyones voices slowed down are hilarious!

  • i burt my whole hand doin that with a cordial bottle and some spray canola oil

  • mmm hold it pointing down and see if you can fly

  • better to lay it on the ground and watch it shoot across the room. But this is demonstrating the concept of the rocket cone too.

  • bit of a jamjar happening there

  • Is it too danger to ignite pure methanol?

    But it's cool.

  • Liquid methanol would just burn but not explode as you see in the demonstration. You have to let the methanol vaporize first.

  • but iff he had a lid on the bottle or the hole was too small for the energy to escape it would actualy explode big time

  • Fuckin cool.

  • niiiiice :]

  • Yeah, we did that in our chemistry class! Then, because our teacher is insane, we did it in physics class too, to show propulsion! If you want to see the video of that it's under my videos.

  • Yes, I am one of the insane teachers. Thanks for the clip!

  • Q brutos !!

  • very cool

  • dang im so doing that

  • nice
