Rush'N Attack is much easier if you start a TWO player game and kill off the second players lives. The difference is you resume at the same place you lost your life at with a few seconds of invincibility instead of backtrack a ways on a one-player game and run into the same obstacle over and over again.

I didn't get any farther than you on Rush N Attack. Despite the cover I always thought it was Russian Attack lol. Besides Contra and Ikari warriors owned the combat shooters.

There's a trick to a specific soldier in Rush'n Attack. The jump-kicking soldiers who seem unbeatable can be EASILY avoidable. Just run UNDER them!!

Yes back in the day games really did suck, they were hard as tits poorly designed and in many cases half assed productions, but we didnt give a fuck we played them anyway, and loved it.

I actually didn't think that Trojan was that hard, I had the game and yes, the first time playing it, I died at "level 2"... however with a little of practice and by memorizing the enemy pattern, I managed to finish this game eventually after some weeks of playing it

Not level 2, but level 3 in NES Battletoads took forever to beat especially since it is a fast paced motor level and even harder to beat in 2-Player mode. I know Trojan is hard but I found a cheat to beat it so I'm happy but Cobra Command and Rush N Attack aren't difficult games, you could actually beat those games if you play it with another pal. The only problem is you probably don't have one to help you finish the games just like Contra.

You know if you ever want to beat that copper game, since you own it. You Could always emulate it. Most emus have a F6 save option and a f5 load so you can save and then reload!!! WIN WIN!

I remember winning Rush'n Atck when I was 12...once. I remember selecting two player and then killing off the second player..when you die you don't go back to the beginning of the level. It seemed to help. Nice video though.

Friday the 13th on NES! It took me freakin forever to get through the first day. Going into cabin after cabin, rescuing a bunch of snotnosed campers every 2 minutes, exploring the woods surrounding the camp for better weapons... After all but two of my characters had been killed off, I finally managed to kill Jason. Hooray! Jason's been defeated, game over, right? Wrong! Day 2: Jason's back, he's even more pissed off! The game gets harder, and they don't even give you any of your guys back! Lame

Why? I mean, let's face it, some NES games were just way too frustratingly hard, even broken. And while I agree it's not a good thing that you "have to cheat" to beat such a badly made game, but the option exists! And you don't have to give yourself every cheat in the book, just something so you don't get game over and have to start over after three deaths or something. Just a suggestion. ;)
