Because mai gifu loved all Trek and i wanted to have some thing he loved that we could share, i took a crash course in the different series and i love all of the captains for different reasons.. well except for Kirk and Janeway who i love for exactly the same reasons.. their boldness and ability to laugh at them selves. But Sisko was such a different kind of captain.. i LOVE his voice it makes me shiver ~^_^~ but his relationship with his son was the best!

Sisko is my favourite captain. He was every captain and then some. He was the tactical genius like Kirk, the diplomat like Picard, the warrior like Janeway, the explorer like Archer, yet he's still his own. The friend, the single father, the philosopher, the emissary, etc. Sisko is the greatest captain, I feel. So Ben!

Avery Brooks is perfect man fore this role..Well done!!! Calm, quickthinker steady.. And in the end he represents the perfect man (somethink like james bond) Who can get it he will understand.. I jast can't say whay he didn't have any other films? He play some rols in coupule of moveies but not to much.. I think that he is a PERFEC and complite actor..

Sisko was the best ST captain---not quite the strategist that Kirk was, or the diplomat that Picard was, his sometimes prickly personality didn't engender the kind of crazy loyalty that Janeway had, he was every bit as decisive and bold in the big moments as Archer but less the idealist...but ultimately he was more than the sum of his parts, more than just a badass (a la Hawk)---he was a "real" person.
