in NSW pubs used to close at midnight or later but in QLD they always closed at 10pm, thank god they got rid of Joh

@CHOUCHE4 He's hitchhiking up to Queensland, and it's always been a very conservative state, where the pubs closed earlier than in New South Wales, (where he's coming from) Most of them still do.

I went to see the Oils at Newcastle Workers club in 2004,little did I know they would break up 2 shows later so Peter could join the

Labour party.I tried to get mates of mine to come to this show but they were like"I'll see them next time they come to town",they were a bit upset when they found out the Oils split up,oh well I did invite them!

I could not believe it but they played this, this is one of my favourite Oils songs.

They were great band live,long live the Oils!

In 1987/88 they were wanting to heavily tour the US to support the "Diesel and Dust"album and Giffo was burnt out after previous tours.

I think Bones was probably a better bass player, but Giffo was pure rock - legs apart, rocking the whole body back and forth, and pure intensity on his face. He was awesome. Love this track, it was the soundtrack to so many roadtrips up north.
