  • Oh and by the way according to the Holy Bible his name is Jesus

  • @BADDOOKUS English translation but in Hebrew(Origin of name) it's Yahshua!

  • So this god of yours is so wonderful he would get angry with you if you got one letter wrong in his name? This is so stupid.

  • We have been lied to and many things we are taught have been lies and are not even in Scripture. Check out the site in my user name and listen to the audio there. You will be shocked and you will come away asking many questions. Thanks

  • All praise to yahuwah and yahuwshuwa halliunYah

  • @strayd0gg Good luck bro! My church team wants to play this but I know there's no way I can do that solo live

  • HalleluYAH

  • This song was written by a Jew, Leonard Cohen, refering to the One and Only God.

  • I can't help but share what Yahweh's name means: He is good; His love endures forever! w w w dot AmazingPromise dot c o m

  • Beautiful! Such a simple and awesome message. Praise, the reason we were created. I feel it from the depths of my soul. Love you, Amelia.

  • Halleluyah mi brethrens in christ,

    PEACE

  • Hallelu YAH!!!!

  • Halleluyah is Hebrew w/c means "Praise be to Yah"

    Joshua 24

15 And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve YAHWEH, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve, whether the gods whom your fathers served Beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve YAHWEH.

  • Hebrew, the language of Yahweh's primary revelation to mankind, means: "the straight passage to the other side." The Word is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The path to eternal life is narrow and straight. Moreover, the fact that Hebrew is derived from 'abar, meaning, "to pass over, to take away transgressions, and to pass beyond," is equally illuminating.

  • @materialclassified It serves to confirm that the Way He established was based upon the Miqra', and especially Passover. Yahweh doesn't miss any opportunity to teach. His every word is a treasure.

  • but its spelled with a J in the Bible.....

  • There is a specific reason for the images of Yahshua in this video. You must clearly understand that YAHSHUA was YAHWEH manifested in the flesh. Yahweh was incarnated in the man Yahshua. That is was The Word teaches.

  • @EndTimeYouth

    Correct!

  • @EndTimeYouth : Amen, Amen, and a BIG Amen to this comment!

  • @cbaby74 - not being argumentative but there are no "J's" in the Hebrew language; spelled correctly His name is "YHWH" (J was an English translation). YHWH or Yah is the "name" of God (the term God is not a name but a title & is not the same thing). Furthermore the Images of Christ in the video are misleading. The children of YHWH were enslaved by Pharaoh (Ramses) in Kemet (Egypt) which is in Africa. Its highly unlikely that whites were enslaved by blacks in Africa so the image is inaacurate.

  • Hallelujah!

  • Amen!! Lincoln Brewster is a wonderful artist. His guitar solos always have meaning. They are not just solos in a song.

I like how you changed the J to Y.

  • HalleluYAH!!!!!

  • Everyday I have I'll be singing "Hallelujah". Praise the Lord...Hallelujah Amen!

  • Hallelujah actually has two meanings. "Rescue me" and "Praise to God" Awesome right?

  • Jah is also a name for God... so you changed the word for nothing... it means the same thing either way...

  • hallelujah!!

  • No need to change J to Y. English is not Hebrew and God understands.

  • tears like a stream coming down to my cheek...

    what a great song....

    (T_T)

  • Wow... way to ruin a perfectly good song. I'm a Christian, and honestly, the original Leonard Cohen lyrics are far superior to this. Bleh...

  • @andypetefan Dude as a fellow Christian, the original should offend you, or at the least make you uncomfortable. The lyrics appear to mock God and doubt His existance. Music was made to glorify and honor God. Lincoln Brewster, or rather the Holy Spirit, has made a FAR superior song!! Praise the Lord for this AWESOME song!

  • @Kingram417 agreed

  • AMEN!!!

  • This is an amazing cover of a great secular song! It is AMAZING what God can do with ALL things and make them work for HIS glory!

  • YAHshua is LORD praise YHWH.. YHWH is my strength halleluYHWH.. YAHshua is the son of the living GOD and YAHshua is YHWH..

  • Such a great song! 5*

    Many thanks for posting

  • had a series of french kings that had significant influence on the language, eventually all these cultures (anglo-saxon, a bit of german, and lots of french influence), and a ton of time, made the language that is spoken today. you are absolutely correct about the hard "j" not being in greek or hebrew.

  • the "j" comes from the heritage of the language and its change over time rather than a direct translation from greek/hebrew to english. In old english (as well as german) the "j" and "y" are virtually the same (the same being true with "w" and "v"), combine that with the absence of vowels in hebrew: thus "Yahweh" and "Jehovah" are the same name for God. It really is Hallelujah, it just predates the hard "j" sound that appeared in english somewhere after 1066 AD when england

  • very wrong the origional name is Yahweh and the shortened version is YAH so its really HalleluYAH. and his son Yahshua

  • we sang this version at our church today lolz!~!~! what a coinsidence lolz!~! <(")- Penguin!~! Peace around the world for generations!~!~!

  • I was at a Christian concert event, YC, and he played this song. About 20 000 kids sang it back, and I can tell you, it was THE most amazing spiritual experience I've ever had.

  • Man, I SO LOVE that picture with YAHSHUAH THE MESSIAH!!!!!!!!!! It speaks loud. Praise HIM!! Praise YAHWEH. Behold the LAMB of GOD that takes away the sin of the world!

  • 'Wonderful song. 'Much better than the one from Shrek. Thank you for posting it.

  • the original song is better. im sorry. i love jesus but the original song is definitely better. listen to the jeff buckley version. that one is called hallelujah.

  • If you can find a hard "j" sound in either Hebrew or Greek, I'd like to know about it. The short form of God's name is Yah. King David used that form in Psalm 68:4. He said to extol God by His name. HalleluYah litterally means "Praise Yah". This short form of what many believe to be pronounced "Yahweh", is also incorporated into many Biblical names such as EliYahu. (Elijah), and MatiYahu (Matthew). I believe the lyrics of Jeff"s song take God's name in vain (e.g. "maybe there's a God")

  • thank you...I am so excited to learn the name of Yahweh and it's relationship to HaleluYAH..i feel born again..

  • @Msbea345 You're very welcome! I was taught that Hallelujah meant "Praise the Lord". It was not until I was in my 50's that I discovered the word "LORD"(in all caps) was substituted for Yaweh nearly 7000 times in the KJV!!! This knowledge has turned MY world around also.

  • If you read the words of Jeff Buckley's song you may notice that, not only does he seem to get King David and Bathsheba mixed up with Samson and Delilah, but he says "MAYBE there's a god above"!!! I believe God is very real, and the short form of his name (which King David used in Psalm 68:4) is "Yah." His son's original Hebrew name is Yahshua, which means "Yah is Salvation". To my knowledge, there is no hard "j" sound in either Hebrew or Greek.

  • i love this songso much

  • I just learned a few weeks ago about the Lord being originally called "Yahweh." It is lovely how hallelujah actually means hallelu-yahweh! Beautiful video, too. Awesome presentation.

  • thanks for posting tis very beautiful song!!

  • i love this song. thnks for posting it! :)
