You can easily beat Swadian Knights with Khergit Lancers combined with Rhodok Sergeants and Sharkshooters....

You can beat The combination of Lancers Sergeants and Sharpshooters with Horse Archers Champions and Marksman...

Some special unit abilities special effects and a banking system and an advanced economic system would also help..

i did once but on normal difficult i only weared my schythe/halber thingy and citizen cloth (unarmoured stuff u wield atm then) i barely got hit by the lord himself (noob infantry) and my cursed archers pwned him while i was stuck in his army

With Vaegirs you should stack up on 60% Marksmen and 40% Guards to compliment your castle defense force......

With Swadia just stack your Castle with 60% Sergeants 40% Sharpshooters and keep Your Knights in your party to break down enemy parties when they try to siege your castle.....

i am personally lvl 24 and only use heavy bardiche , you had to smash one horse 3 times i only once.

people say that cavalry is useless due to "lancers" using thier bows and "horse archers" using thier swords. having 80 knights charge into a wall of infantry is effective no matter what infantry youre up against, its just a shame that you cant pull the cavalry back for another charge easily. great game, worth what you have to pay

i love that game. maybe the graphics aren't the best, but my computer is pretty old (2002) and i haven't the money for a new one...so i'm glad this game runs on it without any probems. the engine is great, i've never played a game before where riding is such fun, the riding sounds are great, too. you really get the feeling that you're sitting on a heavy horse and you can move with different speed, walk, trot and canter. fighting never gets boring and riding into battle with other horses rocks

when they use shields, aim for the legs. you can kill them by shooting them in the legs. i had an army that was about 300 people. like all of them died and 13 of my heroes survived =P and the best class i prefer are mercenaries. they fight without getting tired much.

You can create you own character with unique facials and you start off with crap armor, weapons and horse, and you can buy better ones from merchants or take it from enemies.

No, you buy arrows in packs. They replenish after battles though, but if you shoot all your 75 or whatever many arrows you brought into the battle you either need to loot dead bodies (dead only, not wounded) for arrows or resort to melee.
