what version of joomla are you using? I use 1.0.13. I downloaded jevents 1.42. There is no events section on the one that I'm using.
I am using Joomla 1.0.13, at the time of tapping it was and older version.
You need to create a menu link to the com_events front end. To do this log into your admin section.
Menu Manager -> (menu name) -> New -> Component -> Events
This will create the events link you need to do what's in the video.
