  • Voyager Theme, meet iPod, iPod meet Voyager Theme.

  • Which whore should I choose? Delta Quadrant, or unworthy of assimilation?

  • This music played when i discovered what i'am. This is part of my life now.

  • When this series ended, it was the end of life as I knew it, and things were never the same after it.

  • @TheMusicfriend

yes my friend u are right :(((( i has cry at the end of voyager best star trek ever and theme

  • Not as exiting as the first two shows...

  • for some reason i think this season was inspired by the episode of the 1st season of tng where no one has gone before, where the traveller takes the enterprise d 2.7 million light years from home, and it would take like 7 years to get home by light speed, but it takes 75 years to get home for voyager when they are only 75k light years?

  • The original series is still my favorite of all the Star Trek series (go, Spock!), but I must say that of all the themes, I like this one the best.

  • Man, I grew up with this. As a little kid, I remember watching Captain Janeway and the rest of the crew of the Starship Voyager travel the universe. This really brings me back. :)

  • Best theme and best ST, in my opinion. I remember coming home from school and watching TNG for two hours then VGR would come on, then hours later, one hour of the original series, as far as I am concerned, DS9 doesn't exist, I can't stand it. as much as I liked TNG, I will always like VGR more, also my favorite looking ship as far as the Federation ones go.

  • I haven't watched this series (well, maybe 2 or 3 episodes) but I can't stop listenning and playing in piano this music. I just love the Star Trek Voyager theme

  • @TheWilsonian92

give it time, my guess is within 50 years. and on the warp drive. Stephen Hawking visited the set of next generation once, saw the warp drive paused for a moment and then said ( or i guess typed) "I'm working on that..."

  • In the end I saw Episode 3x11, also known as The Q and the Grey.

  • Best themesong. Worst captain.

  • Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: The Next Generation are the best Star Trek Series, The Original Series was a bit boring, I haven't watched any DS9, and Enterprise was to dramatic and violent.

  • Watch deep space nine, It is great! I've seen every episode of Deep space nine, also The Next Generation. You won't be disappointed. I can't make my mind about which series is better However, I will tell you that you will learn more about characters from The next generation including: Quark, Thomas riker and what happens to him, Q, Worf, even Captain Picard, the list goes on.... watch it. It is vastly underrated, and in my opinion rivals The next generation.

  • @TheDaleksareSupreme Some of the characters who cast in Deep space nine are: Captain picard, Quark, Riker, Diana, Roxana (Diana's mom),Q, and many, many more..... the list goes on.

  • This is strange... whenever I hear Battle of the Heroes from Star Wars, I forget this song. And I've been watching Voyager for days! Isn't that weird?

  • Ever since I first laid eyes on the technology of Star Trek I asked myself "when will we be able to talk through video?' and now that answer is in a form of a cell phone. Too bad we cannot transport like in the show.

  • it is the nice Serie

  • by far the best theme

  • star treCk :D:D:D:D:D

  • Is it wrong that I just shed a manly tear?

  • 13 people got assimilated by the Borg.

  • 13 people never returned from the Delta Quadrant

  • If my band marched this, I would be my directors personal sex slave.

  • What I really like about the DS9 and Voyager themes is that they have this really lovely since of class about themselves

It's really rare to have a theme of this caliber on a TV show when it feels like it's destined to be for a movie instead

  • Love this theme to death. Voyager isnt my favorite Star trek series, but to me it had the best theme song

  • my fav st intro

  • @ xeridox: with about 150.000.000 km/s (5000 tmies light speed) they need 140 years for 70.000 light years, and not 4 days. Space is bigger than you can imagine.

  • Voyager travels at warp 9.975 at max warp it would only take them 4 days to get home.... Plot holes ftw!

  • @xeridox - Warp 9.975 = 4.000.000.000 miles per second (a little more than 20.000 times light speed). There is an episode in which Tom Paris talks about Voyager´s top speed. So endless maximum warp without any need of "pitstops" would make Voyager fly home in 3-4 years. However, at normal travel speed they talk about some decades coming home :-)

    Greetings from Germany

  • @Manner1a sry yes..3-4 years

  • I heard this being played on the Radio a few days ago.

    That was awesome.

  • brilliant score!

  • Voyager has the best Theme song but DS9 has the better story and diverse acting in all of the series. Startrek Enterprise was horrible and an un-original theme epic failure

  • now on sky atlantic!

  • While TNG is my favorite series, Voyager is an extremely close second.

  • voyager star trek is best star trek

  • I don't know why, but this always makes me cry. I've never saw before actual science blended with such beauty. Did you noticed the glow of the shield against the ionized gas of the nebula at 0:24 and the composition of the ring on that planet? the reflection of the light on that ring? or the "diamond" of light after the eclipse? I want to be there.

  • I did see that face... it was creepy

  • does anyone else see the face in the nebula at 1:29?

  • Haven't heard this in two years... I almost forgot how awesome this was... *hums along* :D!!!

  • I always watched this and star trek enterprise with my father when I was 10 years old... now 7 years ago xD great memories haha

  • Captian Kathry Janeway is the BEST captian ST VOY....

My best Janeway's quote: drive !!!!!!

  • such a fantastic ending XD

  • 13 people have no souls

  • The best Star Trek theme.

  • Best french horns EVAH!

  • Amazing episodes and even better music

  • I knew they would have this on Youtube!

So nostalgic, such a beautiful song... <3

  • xxzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzv

  • Jornada nas Estrelas chama "O Caminho das Estrelas" em Portugual?

  • 11 people are stil trapped in the delta quadrant...

  • @majorhewitt By now they probably got assimilated by the Borg Collective or were killed by Species 8472...

  • @majorhewitt

    make that 13 lol

  • 11 people are irrelevant and unworthy of assimilation...

  • u know what i never understood. is why instead of traveling 75 thousand lightyears from the delta q. to the alpha q., which would take 80 yrs, why didnt they just fly to the gamma q. and use the gamma q. wormwhole that lead to the alpha q. cuz next gen. ds9 and voy r in the same time zone. and ds9 came out before voy and in the 1st ep of voy they were docked at ds9. so they knew of the worm hole. and that would be faster. fly for 20 yrs, use the worm home and boom back home.

  • @thebuckrogers22

I think flying straight home was the most practical decision Buck. The other end of the Bajoran Wormhole was probably a few thousand light years closer to the Caretaker than Earth was. However, how would you know that the Wormhole would still exist when you finally reached it? Then you spent 60 years flying to the Wormhole (instead of 70 to Earth), only to find it doesn't exist anymore, and you are still 70 years away from Earth.

  • haha Q!

  • this makes me feel heroic, and nostalgic... I LOVE IT

  • I never liked Voyager, but the show did produce some excellent music and the opening theme was definitely one of the best.

  • an oversized hammerhead shark drifts elegantly through space to the tune of beautiful orchestral music

  • hamma

  • my school orchestra played this song, it was amazing

  • star trek s best

    the voyager +crew

what i missed ..was more action more fights

  • u know what sucks. cuz of the new star trek movie, chances r we will never see a ds9 or voyager movie be made. cuz now fans and non star trek fans only wanna see new star trek movies made with the cast of 2009. plus since the time line has changed, no one knows what new lives the 24th cent. star trek people will lead. so that changes everything we saw on the shows. which totally sucks, also when r we getting a new star trek show???

  • It's 'hopeful'... Every note tells a story of hope and memories of what keeps them going. All the other themes have been fast paced or suspensful (apart from Enterprise) [which is truly pants]. This music is the ONLY music that calms my baby down. He immediately stops what he's doing when he hears it! Beautiful Goldsmith piece of art and my favourite out of all the themes.

  • ok, i'm afraid to say, although a love this theme, it's a bit wrong for this show, aren't they supposed to be returning back home in a rush from the far away part of the galaxy? wouldn't a fast paced rhythm and a darker melody be more suitable? this theme fits better with the static ds9 or maybe even enterprise who is just starting it's voyages

    just my 2 cents

  • @Svastara2 it sounds like an homage to 'fanfare for the common man' to me, a piece written during WWII to commemorate those fighting overseas, which would imply that voyager is a ship full of ordinary people placed in an extraordinary situation. fits perfectly.

  • man this was truly one of the best series out there

  • the music makes me sad

  • i misss kes

  • @PatchMatt So do I, she was one of my favorites. I wish they would've kept her.

  • @PatchMatt she comes back (and it's not pretty)

  • great ending xD

  • amazin

  • best star trek theme

  • I want to be in one of Harry and Tom's Holoprograms

  • got Jesus ?

  • I'd like an hour on the holodeck with Seven of Nine :)

  • Voyager <3

  • this song is the best song ever it can be discribed in one word beautiful

  • @jokernu1fan ..epic werks 4 me!!

  • Some how watching and hearing this makes me expect that a full episode is about to start.

  • Of all the Star Trek themes, this is the most heroic, most compelling, most memorable. All these years later, it still evokes wonder & homesickness.

  • Fascinating

Cumprimentos

  • This theme song makes cry! How embarrassing...

  • @EmphaticItalic: Sing the song and you won´t be able to stop laughing :-)

Well, actually, a German like me understands how eeh lol this really is!

Imagine they made a remake and would use this song as intro. Would be hillarious

  • Looksee I maded lyrics! starting from 0:12 Voy-a-ger is lost very far a waaayyyyyyy But they're going home...they're going home With Captain Janeway and while they're there they'll meet some aliens but they look the same except the faces change (bridge- lol, bridge!) and season after season goes and they're still lost and get beat by bad guys a lot even so Captain Janeway and her cool crew are going home- they will get home! Someday...
  • @Treemeadow : Lol absolutely epic thank you! Good Lyrics

  • @Treemeadow: I was singing this to my friends today 8 times already!! Thank you Treemeadow this is really cool and hillarious!

  • @Manner1a n_n always a pleasure to make ppl smile :p

  • @Treemeadow : I almost pissed my pant laughing ! Good job :D

  • @Treemeadow OH MY GOD THAT IS AMAZING

  • @Treemeadow I love the lyrics!

  • @Treemeadow Those are the weirdest lyrics that I've ever heard, but, it's still good. Nice work.

  • Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine did to Voyager what Joan Collins's alexis did to Dynasty. They Charged them up and they actually became what their respective shows were about in the First Place. Without them, their shows would have been cancelled early.

Seven of Nine became Star Trek : Voyager

  • man the good ol days , i wish they would at least still have re runs on tv

  • in europe it isn't on tv anymore :S

  • @linkspecialproximity its on virgin1 every day at 7:00pm

  • kes should change her name to gaynor gayley

  • GO SEVEN OF NINE! U R AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Nagy zene!!!

  • My absolute favorite theme and Star Trek. It holds the ideals that the original star trek had without trying to be inventive in a way that made us all crosseyed or disgusted. Voy, TOS, DS9, TNG, Animated TOS, ENT.... JJ's ST, W. Crusher.

  • The only bad Star Trek was Enterprise with that faggot quantum leap guy .

  • My favourite!!!!!!!!!

  • I always turn the volume up when this comes... greatest theme there is...

  • i love this song.

  • Great theme. Fits perfectly with the series!

  • IMO Voyager isn't nearly as good as TNG or DS9, but it's still a good show, and the theme is probably the most beautiful of all the shows.

  • I agree, it isn't the best, but fans have no right to complain about Voyager as much as they do, it's a good show.

Sure, some of the episodes were ass, but that went for all of the ST shows. If you ask me the entire ending to DS9 sucked.

  • @moccamonster As some would say... they all are good... just some are better then others... :)

  • this was easily the 2nd best star trek series after the original and the best theme

  • amaising peice of music. Mozart would be proud. 7 Exellent seasons of adventure. Just dissappointed about the final episode. It should have showed more of how they re-integrated back into earth their quadrant of space.

  • @callin2427 It's because we al grew so attached to the crew that when it ended all we were left was: "Are they okay?"

  • @TGHibiki Luckily their lives continued in the novels, so if you want to know more you could check there.

  • @MJ0428 Trust me I do have those. I collect the novels pretty regularly. Find them in the half price book stores.

  • Great show, fantastic theme. That's all I have to say.

  • Voyager in french mean traveler ?

  • Personally, this is my favorite Star Trek series.

The only one I dont like is Enterprise.

  • SUP Q

  • oh this is the best star trek seven of 9,Janway,Geckita,Kim Perry,Neleix oh such a great show.

  • My least favourite series but my favourite theme.

  • I think this is my favourite opening of all Star Trek series. The scenery, the music, fits quite perfectly. Just the fine balance of corny and cool.

  • It's hard to choose between the original and Voyager themes. They are definately both excellent and better than the others.

  • Are the beautiful brass instruments in the first 50 seconds french horns, trombones, both, or something else?

  • Sounds like mainly trombones though you can hear the horns a lot clearer later. I'm not too sure since I am a strings player, but I do know that the new Star Trek film uses the french horns heavily (first minute is a horn solo) and I absolutely love it :)

  • French horns ;)

  • Are you sure? I've had several horn players tell me they think they are trombones.

  • I'm very sure because I played it myself ;)

  • In your discription you mispelled TREK.

  • Such great music. Beautiful artwork! ALMOST make me wan to cry!

  • Okay, I just realized that this is a GREAT leitmotif. Everything about the melody screams the theme of the show... the unexpected, the faraway, and then that constant, solid touchstone of going home. You're immortal, Mr. Goldsmith. :)

  • @thegirlnextdork Wait. The composer's name is goldsmith? That is the perfect name for someone who made this song!

  • For me TNG has the best theme but I love them all

  • Majestic

  • AWESOME

  • This one has the best theme song in my opinion. ...then I was like Oh gawd not Q! He's still alive? If it wasn't for him I don't think the Borg would have ever been a problem.

  • Actually without Q the federation probably never would have been ready to face the Borg when they eventually did come.

  • I knoooow that's what everybody says. But he's soo effing ANNOYING. I did like the episode where he lost his powers though. and at the end he manifested a mariachi band and some cigars to celebrate that they came back. I loled but Picard was like STOP THAT!

  • Not really a treckie fan but i loved the new film. But love this intro music :)

  • ah, sweet memories. I especially like the mirroring in the planets rings.

  • why was Q in there?

  • lol picardo

  • The theme was composed by the late Jerry Goldsmith, also the composer behind Gremlins, The Omen, as well as most of the Star Trek movies, especially the Next Generation entries.

  • Whos the composer of this song though? Im wanting to get this song lol

  • voyager song! the best song in every quadrant...alpha, beta, gamma and even delta!

  • A hidden part of Voyager after returning home. And they never found Where The Wild Things Are. Wild Things in a starship in space.

Judith is the captain, Max is the commander, Ira Chief Engineer, Daniel The Bull is the flight controller, KW is the doctor, Alexander is the cook, Carol is transporter chief, & Douglas is a Lieutenant Commander.

  • this brings back memories

  • I think Voyager's music score is the best! and I like Stargate Atlantis' music score as well.

  • this music reached Number 14 in all time best tv theme tunes

  • My brother and my dad used to watch this show when I was little, at night when I had already gone to bed. I'd always faintly hear this theme right before I went to sleep! :) *Sigh*

  • best theme song

  • I had THE BIGGEST CRUSH EVER on Kes. XD

I totally forgot about it... Until now XD

    Ah, good old days =D

  • You had a crush on a 2-year-old. I've called the Feds.

  • CRAP, Busted!!! *puts on Pedobear costume*

HA, they won't recognize me in this!!

  • i'm a trek fan but that for that ship to look the way it did over saturn's ring right there, it would have to be like a hundred thousand miles long.

  • Yeah bugs me too! Though I don't think its Sarturn.

  • Lol either way that would have to be a ridiculously tiny planet or a ridiculously large spaceship for it to look like that.

  • Whenever I see mention of this problem, I think of Futurama, where a ringed planet was so small it hit the windscreen of their ship. :)

  • that is not saturn. Saturn is located in a totally differnt quadrant

  • That wasn't saturn because (a) its proportions and colors are all wrong, and (b) because they're supposed to be 70 thousand light years from saturn.

  • You don't get it; my whole point is that the ship is improperly proportioned to the planet, no matter what planet it is.

  • That's half true. Our eyes in space envisioned on television can play tricks on us. It may look like they were close to the moon-looking planet but they were probably in truth quite far above it, tens of thousands of kilometers.

  • That would be true... were it not for the reflection of the ship on the rings themselves. If it really were far away, the reflection would not be visible from the camera's viewpoint.

  • Hmm... I guess that's true. What if with the moon scene if the terrain was actually just set up in a way that looked like it was the rounding of the moon. That could just be a tiny section of the moon, but I suppose it's impossible to tell without asking the person who made it. It could also be possible that the moon and planets are out of size proportion with the Voyager.

  • Jerry Goldsmith was the f*ckin' man!!

  • *sigh* 7 of 9 giggity :D

  • LOL
