Gotta' love Coach Cowher! (Hey--Did you hear him talking about how good he thinks the bengals look? He said "If Carson Palmer comes back healed, the team has enormous potential!" Could you ever imagine him coaching the bengals? Let's hear some comments...
hahah this video is hilarious... but i absolutly lost bill cowher and cried when he left the steelers... he's angry bc he's passionate about the game, and he'll always have a special place in the steeler fans' hearts
Well he did take us to 6 AFC championships, won two of them and won one superbowl. On top of that, for like his first 15 years with the Steelers, he was plauged with some of the worst QB's of all time (and he was still successful in the regular and post-season in-spite of that).
When he finally got a decent QB in Big Ben, he went to yet another AFC championship game and won the next SB.
Imagine what he would have done with a half decent QB his first 15 years.
LMAO! I was hoping someone would get some classic "Cowher Moments" and put 'em on YouTube. He's the biggest reason I used to watch football. Makes for GREAT television.
Hines Ward had 80 catches for 1,000 yards this season, key 3rd down conversions when we NEEDED plays, countless decleating blocks-just ask Keith Rivers of the Bengals-his jaw was broken by the "old man". Not to mention the leading receiver and inspirational leader of the back-to-Back AFC North Champs, and so on...
With 6 possible head coaching positions opening up at the end of the season my only plea to Bill Cowher would be to please not go to the Cleveland Browns or the Detroit Lions. I loved you when you were with the Steelers and any other team would be cool except for the lowly Browns or the Lions.
Go ahead and coach your beloved Browns, shithead.....my Steelers Wrecking Crew will kick your ass all day just like we always do with the lowly Brownstains! $8 million wont change the fact that you're a TRAITOR and a SPIT-SHOOTIN' DOUCHE, BILL!!!
How can you be a steelers fan and not respect what cowher did for your team. I thought your fans were loyal. Oh, you guys need to help Big Ben file a sexual assault suit against every front seven Pittsburgh has played this year. I seriously believe he can make claims of being raped by opposing defenses.
What the Steelers need to do is to get rid of Bruce Arians as a Offensive coordinator and go after O lineman in either the draft or the free agency. And Stringfellow74 I take it that you don't follow the steelers bc then you would know that ben doesn't have enough time to get the ball off half the time and it has nothing to do w/ hines ward not having it anymore. Also they shouldn't get rid of Holmes, he is turning into one of the best young wideouts in the game.
The Steelers also need to send Hines Ward somewhere else because he just doesn't have it anymore and get rid of Santonio Holmes for what he did this past week. Totally inexcusable! Finally Ben needs to just get back to playing the way he did in his first two seasons by scrambling more and making plays on his own. If these changes occur we will be so much better off in the long run.
Ward doesn't have what anymore?!?! Are you really a steelers fan? He blocks downfield and makes grabs in traffic still. So what does he not have anymore (he is not randy moss, sorry).
There are still times that I really miss Bill Cowher. Don't get me wrong Mike Tomlin is a good Head Coach but the way that the offensive line has been playing lately I really miss Bill Cowher jumping on their ass and giving them a good ass chewing as well as Hines Ward. If Tomlin is going to have the same type of success as Cowher did he needs to at the end of this season can Bruce Arians and the offensive line coach Larry Zeirlein.
The line doesn't need a tough coach. They are just bad at pass blocking. Getting rid of pro bowl linemen every year has taken its toll, the last straw being Faneca.
Hey I live in Pittsburgh and about 5 years ago I was in a restaurant and Bill Cowher was a couple tables away with his wife and I saw him get really pissed off at a waitress and he stood up and slapped the bitch! No shit....the man has a hair-trigger temper and kicks some ass when he's boiling with rage.
Hilariously funny! I miss Bill Cowher on the Steelers sidelines. Mike Tomlin is going to do a good job and will be there for awhile. However, Bill Cowher in my opinion is a much better motivator with "The Chin." Mike Tomlin should try and follow in his footsteps in that way. The only thing is to set them apart with Bill Cowher having "The Chin" and Mike Tomlin having "The Jaw." HA! HA!
love the passion!

If I am correct he said he didn't want to have to face his old team that is half of the reason he refused the Browns coaching position.
