  • Thanks honey! This is my favorite video so far researching my natural hair. I needed this information. You are a God send.

  • very informative. i really prefer cowashing. thanks for tips on the variations of it.

  • thanks for the video very informative and nice tunes while you read

  • Thanks for this video: it was educational and got straight to the point without waffling. Years ago someone told me to use ACV. I bought it, but for the life of me couldn't remember why I had it in my kitchen cupboard. It may be too old to use on my hair, but at least I now know what to do with it. I'm just starting to transition & this kind of information is invaluable. Thanks again.

  • Very good information!! Thanks!! Check out some of my vids if you get a chance!! ;)

  • I'm wary of using baking soda because it straitened my hair my previous natural journey.

  • Once again, REAL INFO I can use! Thanks..keep them coming:)

  • great tip but what I'd like to know is what is the name of this song by Dwele...this is my first time ever hearing this song and I love it

  • great tip but what I'd like to know is what is the name of this song by Dwele...this is my first time ever hearing this song and I love it

  • Very Cool Music! who is it? Thanks for the Education on Co-washing.

  • good information. I am so uneducated about this stuff. I am just transitioning for the past two months and a little nervous but mostly by what I don't know. Thanks for the information.

  • My scalp is so sensitive to conditioners i cant use them, I just do the Baking soda and Apple cidar rinse. My hair is so beautiful to me now.

  • great insight!! love the tips!!

  • big helps I am just transistioning for 2 months.

  • Some gents also prefer not to shampoo their hair too.

  • also wats the difference between a hotoil treatment and a deep condition treatment??

  • dang I was very uneducated about cleaning my scalp and hair...that was very informative! thanx to you and others with natural hair (tips) on youtube us natural gals can get and keep our hair back to wat GOD blessed us with. I jus wish I had or my mother had this info since birth then we would of never damaged our hair like we did in the past. Theres no such thing as "nappyhair" the nappy can from being took from our "Motherland" and not knowin how to care 4 our hair in the new world....GOD bless

  • thanks very informative

  • One more question...will the baking soda help rinse out the silicones from the conditioners??

  • It depends on how much silicone build-up is in the hair. If you use silicones sparingly between washes then baking soda as well as ACV will help remove them. Otherwise, you would need to add the baking soda to a sulfate-free shampoo or use a clarifying shampoo.

  • Thanks!!

  • I'm glad all you realized that shampooing everyday is not great. Can't you piece the logic yourselves, just think way back in the day. Do you really think the ancients had a bottle of pantiene around? Your body takes care of itself in many nAtural ways. And yes, there are actual foods and fruit that clean your teeth, but sugar and all this fake commercial foods can't be cleaned by specific teeth cleaning foods. So that's why you brush. Just a small exple of how unnatural humans have become

  • I just used the ACV Rinse and baking soda rinse on my transitioning hair. The baking soda was great on both my relaxed and natural new growth..Then I used conditioner and rinsed with the ACV....however the ACV rinse dried my relaxed hair and tangled it. The ACV rinse did great on my natural hair and my scalp feels wonderful. I was wondering if I should wait till I cut my relaxed hair off to use the ACV??

  • The same thing happened to me. Just double the amount of water you use. If you use 1 tablespoon ACV to 1 cup water, use 2 cups of water instead. Let me know how this works.

  • Thanks for that info..I will try it next time.

  • I cant believe how uneducated I was about shampoo. It's no wonder most people suffer from dry hair. The shampoo....!!!! These shampoo companies keeps buying their products more and more thinking that its going to help..it's just causing more damage!

  • Thanks for the tips! They were very helpful.

  • Very helpful, lady! Thanks so much!

  • I maybe out of the "loop" but I never heard of these techniques. They really sound interesting and made really good sense.

I'm going to have to try it one day thanx

  • very informative

  • Great video, helpful info. my hair is damaged from two years of the sulfur hard water use that cannot be filtered in my current area. what was once thick and strong is now thin and brittle. how can i adjust this co-wash regime to regain healthy hair with this water issue.

  • Hard water leaves mineral deposits on your hair. You would have to clarify your hair at least once a month to remove the buildup. You can do the clarifying no-poo that I mention in the video. If your hair is rough after you clarify, follow it up with a co-wash. Or, you can just add the baking soda or even lemon juice to your conditioner to clarify. Be sure to do an acv rinse too. And you should also do oil treatments (pre-poos) before you co-wash.

  • One more thing, you can by a shower head water filter. I saw some at Whole Foods, but you can search online for them. They go for $30 and up.

  • Thank you so much for the video!!!!! It answered just about all my questions about co washing.

  • excellent vid!

  • Why do you suggest co-washing so often? 3x a week seems like a lot.

  • It's not really a lot if you like the wash and go look. It really depends on your hairstyle. Water is the best moisturizer for our hair when complimented with a good conditioner and sealed with oils.

  • helpful vid. thx

  • i enjoyed the video, but ive always heard to not wash out acv rinse?

  • It's optional. Many people prefer to not to wash it out, but some people can't stand the ACV smell so they rinse afterwards to make sure it's gone. Some people even deep condition afterwards which I believe is unneccesary. But you're right, it is better not to wash it out for extra conditioning. The smell goes away.

  • Thanks so much for the videos. They are the most educational hair videos that I have seen to date. Very informative and very factual. I know from trial and error experience LOL.Wish I could have seen your videos when I begin my natural journey, but I'm glad you're here now and please do keep up the good work. Take care.

  • Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words.

  • This vid is great and very helpful for transitioners and many others! Thanks for sharing. Not all shampoos are created equal though, the kind without Lauryl Sulfate will not strip your hair of it's natural oils. Even with that in mind, shampooing once a week is ideal. My favorite is the apple cider vinegar rinse!

  • tHIS VidEO iS VERY HELPFUL....

    i'M LUVAN iT
