This is one of my favorite horror movies - as it really is a horror movie if you watch it in it's entirety and in order.

But it is a "good" horror movie - for one cause it makes you think a lot and two cause the story is true (of course not literary - but in a symbolical sense it is true - remember the title of the movie is "The Addiction" it's NOT "The evil Vampire" - what this movie really is, is an anti-drug movie - and it is just a shocking as Requiem for A Dream)

Very few people understand this film as you do.

I'd add that it's also a warning against post-modern feminist multiculturalism and moral relativism, which are just as dangerous to individuals and society as drug addiction.

agreed... i would actually think that those bad phenomena compliment each other. For example many young drug addicts i know never met their father - they live with their mother who is having a tough time trying to educate them and eventually feels overhelmed with the task of raising them alone and gives up. And the reason why she never got married was - exactly cause of feminism.

So yeah... they compliment each other... But multiculeralism is though to explain without being labeled a nazi.
