@ElQuba Thanks for letting me know. I shall try and memorise the correct polish name as you are quite right, it is rude to use the invaders place name. However, I was literally quoting book titles so they would not change in this context. The Imperial War Museum has a moving Holocaust Gallery with a model one of the Oswiecim camps and artefacts. I hope to visit the site as my brother did a few years ago as I believe the atrocities should never be forgotten.

@noonsight2010 You have to be very careful about those areas of Poland, the Czech Republic, etc., that were once under German (-speaking) rule. I think Auschwitz may just about be fairly regarded as part of the historical territory of Poland, but I can't assert this too confidently, given the expropriation of large swathes of East Prussia following the two world wars. Incidentally, it's odd to see you change tack and assert the borders of an ethnically-defined nation state. Isn't that "racist"?

I can see that it would distance them from Nazi atrocities. On the other hand, the spelling "Auschwitz" should not be forgotten as it is synonymous with the holocaust and the Nazis.

On the whole they're a very good-looking people (which should, I would assume, prejudice people in their favour), but negroes and Europeans alike often find them troublesome as settlers in their midst.
