I once experienced the beeps when I moved my computer's guts into a new case and forgot to re-insert the RAM.

That's just the flavor beep it was. Sadly, we found that the problem in this case goes far, far deeper... Sorry for the spoiler! Broken Gift[2] will cover video cards.
