@leon8chicken No. Cornrows are a series of small neat french or dutch braids. Cornrows tend to require a steady hand, nimble fingers and more skill than this plait in the video...which is why I like the plait in the video! I can't braid! ^__^

@missbluecornmoon if you have layers, that can make it difficult to keep all the hair in place. i know because i tried this myself. use some pomade or hairspray or something to keep all the pieces together, it worked for me!

if this style is left for too long, and gathers too much dirt, it will most likely become dreadlocks, trust me, this is very similar to a dreadlock technique, i wouldnt advise anyone using it if they dont want to cut their hair out after.

It actually doesn't hurt at all, and it's really easy to gt out. It works way better on curly/curled, slightly dirty hair. Straight hair does not hold this tightly at all.
