  • i live in omaha.....

  • Hrmm, You guys passed within a couple blocks of where I live. Woulda been nice to meet another Triumph rider since there's not a ton here in Omaha that I've met (1 new thruxton and 1 new bonneville so far). Oh well, I'll blame this one on Billmaa.

  • Sorry I missed you. Chances are I may be in Omaha next year and I would love to do a meetup with you.

Triumphs are great aren't they? I see more people riding them in Chicago this year.

  • Yep, if you're ever in Omaha just let me know and I would be glad to do a meetup.

I do love my Triumph, my only complaint is the insane pricing for OEM accessories. I really don't want to pay $200 for a gas gauge or a clock.

  • What happened to the hill test? Did you stall out ;->

You should get the MotoVlogger Iron Butt award for your trip.

  • I will try with my next student to films and it's very possible the teacher may get laughed at from stalling out on a hill.

I kind of feel I cheated on the "Iron Butt" thing on this trip. The stock Triumph seat was more comfy than my custom Mustang seat on my Harley. I did have to stop and rest my arms and legs.

  • Totally agree with not bothering about showing ur license plate, not sure why some people cover it up.

  • In some states you can send in a fee and get the info from someones plate. I can see if you are a female vlogger in one of those states it could be a concern. In Illinois it's not that way, only law enforcement can run plates.

  • yea, that hill is pretty steep, I always hold the rear brake while woking on the throttle and clutch

  • Yes that's why for new riders I want to make sure they have that extra skill of releasing the rear brake at the moment the clutch starts pulling.

  • Nice meetup suburban keep up the great vlogs. =)

  • Thank you my friend.

  • cool part 1 and 2!!!!..very cool man!!

  • Thanks bro.

  • I did not know Omaha was so big! The redlights are too long! Good ride. Be safe.

  • That's another thing that makes it like Kansas City the long lights.

  • Distinctive? How about a BIG touring scooter, ALF on the back and a Cowboy riding with a neon yellow safety vest. I guess you could pick me out of "Where's Waldo" pretty quick! LOL

  • True but somehow seeing you come down the road with all your regalia "distinctive" just seems like such a mediocre term. Maybe we need a new word. LOL

  • How about................ Nerd Man !

  • Thanks for taking us along for you meet up with Billma. Glad you could hook up with him. Ride Safe My Friend (RSMF).

  • You are very welcome. I love having my friends along for the ride.

  • Finally, I get to know what you were talking about over there!..haha, I will gladly carry the Route 30 vlogger torch for you next year =)

    Take care,

    Billy

  • That will be really something if we could pull this off coast to coast. What ever happens I know it will be great and bring more of us together. That's the main thing.

  • What a great ride/meet up.

and wow, quite a hill (:

  • I have this obsession as an instructor to have new riders learn clutch control on a hill.

This hill is actually much steeper than it looks with the wide angle lens as you probably know.

  • Nice meet up!

  • Thanks bro.

  • Ha ha. I liked the part about not wanting to scare the older relatives by showing up at their door. :^)

    Ride safe,

    Rob

  • Thanks Rob.

    You too.

  • Hows the wind flow when doing your long rides?

I had a Suzuki Boulevard c50 before having to sell it due to moving, and when i would take the windshield off it would suck at anything over 65 really. Meh, maybe I'm just a wuss. :P

    cool vid.

  • There is a definite difference when traveling east to west. I have never liked windshields and kind of like the feeling of the wind hitting me at highway speeds. I guess I'm kind of weird. LOL

Traveling north and south and towards the east which was most of my trip was rather easy. Not much wind to bother me in my opinion. Sometimes if the wind was at my back 65 mph felt more like 45. Most of the Omaha to Madison part of my trip was like that.
